Lyrics below:
Say it's true, pink and blue
I can share your situation
Keeping hold on our, emotions they
Will only make us cry
And you go, I don't know, but you know
It ain't so serious anyway
When that clouds arrive we'll live on
Ocean Drive (baby)
Don't know why, you're so blue
The sun's gonna shine on everything you do (baby)
And the sky is so blue
The sun's gonna shine on everything you do
He left you, black and blue
Without a word of explanation
And he took your love for granted and
He left you high and dry
But you know, someday
Well you'll wonder what, you see in him anyway
When that day arrives we'll live on
Ocean Drive
Don't know why, you're so blue
The sun's gonna shine on everything you do
And the sky is so blue
The sun's gonna shine on everything you do
Don't know why you're so blue
Sun's gonna shine on everything you do
And the sky is so blue
The sun's gonna shine on everything you do
Don't know why you're so blue
The sun's gonna shine on everything you do
And the sky is so blue
The sun's gonna shine on everything you do

I am musically obsessed with this song. In the verse, the melody is in the key of D, the chords are in G. It's a rare and subtle technique that makes Tunde's vocal seem "dreamy", detached and you feel a slight tension. In the chorus the chords and melody recombine in D, which finally relieves the tension and makes you feel more relaxed! A brilliant piece of pop.

Every single day of those 6 weeks off school my mum pulled up to my dad’s burger van for lunch before taking us to various parks, swimming pools, beaches, etc. As adults, my siblings and I have created a Spotify playlist called “mums summer mix tape” and I often play it when I’m feeling nostalgic but nothing hits as hard as this one. How can you not like the lighthouse family!? This is beautiful, childhood memories flood back, I can feel the heat of summer days.
23 years on and still on my playlist, such a lovely track as are many others by TLF.
I know we didn't feel it at the time (I certainly didn't), but there was a certain uplifting optimism to the 90's that was reflected in the music. I appreciate it now as I approach 40, living in a world that couldn't be more different and has felt nihilistic for quite some time.
Smooth as Seal but with an easy-going, uplifting innocence.

The memories omL! Third year in college. Engineering math assignments with this in the background.
This song brings back so many memories of how little I was back then in the 90's. Just love the lyrics and the beat for it is so uplifting to the soul.
😍😍 my dad played this song when I we were in America brings back the best memories ever 😍😍
BEAUTIFUL MAN WITH A BEAUTIFUL VOICE SINGING A BEAUTIFUL SONG, LONG LIVE OUR YESTER-YEAR ERA ANYDAY!!
Takes me back to the summer I left school. I'd just started a part-time job as a 16 year-old and was looking forward to starting college. Those years are a magical time where you have so much excitement/anticipation over what the future holds. You reach your mid 20's and this gradually, but rather quickly fades away where you become just another soul struggling to get through life. It's why this song is both warming and rather depressing to me.

I was 16 when this song came out. I loved it then and I still love it now. The joys of Utube when you come across a little Jewel you forgot all about.... I don't know why it's blue... the suns gona shine everything u dooooo! 96 was a good year for Music.
When we moved house and we weren't far from the sea, we as a family would play this. So blue. The sun's gonna shine on everything you do !
Reminiscing my teenage years. As kids we never realise we’re live bing the best years of our lives. Next big birthday I’m 40 scared 😦

Hi...cindy
He as the voice of an angel. I remember from my late teens. A song never forgotton.
A song that makes everything feel like it will be okay
The voice alone will put u to sleep,I love lighthouse family❣️💋
Timeless......every mile of ocean drive that passes by lifts my spirit.
This music is classical, infact I call it a masterpiece song ✊🏾🇳🇬❤️
Criminally underrated
God I love this tune, Love the Lighthouse family. thank you for enriching my life :)
Ultimate chillout music 👌
Reminds me of a very wonderful friend in the late nineties...Bola Aderogba
Such an enchanting voice he has, evokes strong strong past memories and eras that we are mostly fond of
I started busking in '95. I used to play this in the late 90's. Really beautiful as was all of Lighthouse. Ive just been reading below comments. Its a reflective song, you shouldn't get depressed by it - it pulls on the heart strings but there's great hope in this song. Listen and be free - hint ( By the Sea :) Thats why its called - Ocean Drive
Pretty much one of the most uplifting songs ever.
This song motivated me as a kid to come to England, knowing that he is of Nigeria origin, but his parents move to England. Now I'm here
I think, when I have a tv programme or film made about my life, this is going to play over the end credits.
