Light Up Your Videos with the Smallrig 350D: My Honest Review

If you want to take your videos to the next level and create truly cinematic images, you'll need to learn how to light your scenes properly. In this video, I'll explore some essential lighting techniques that will give your videos a professional touch, including motivated lighting, upstage lighting.
But first, let's talk about gear. I've been testing out a new light from SmallRig, the company known for their high-quality camera cages and grip equipment. While the light itself is compact and affordable, its features are on par with much pricier options. The design is sleek and sturdy, with a wind-swept look and a stylish gold and silver color scheme.
Operating the light is simple and intuitive, with an on/off switch, brightness dial, and a button for cycling through the various lighting effects. You can even use an optional control panel that mirrors the back of the light and allows you to adjust the settings from the ground.
One of the standout features of this light is its mounting bracket, which is similar to a Swiss Arca plate and allows for precise control over the angle and direction of the light. The joint for angling the light up or down is dampened, providing resistance and making it easier to control large modifiers

@@ChristopherMichaelLaw I’d be very interested to see what you’d make of the Falcon Eyes LED RX series? I’m currently using two RX-18 Rollflex rollable LED panels that are easy to carry and so narrow that they fit even in a very narrow room. I highly reccommend these myself.

I've never used them but i'm all for smaller and lighter equipment that gets the job done. Flexible LED panels would make a lot of sense for location work. I'd love to test them out if @falconeyes-yourstudioprofe4842 where interested.

you do a review of a daylight, and then say that you would not stay with it just because it is not bicolor.....that is, concentrate on what you are reviewing in case tomorrow you do a review of a sony camera that be very good but you will say that you don't get it just because you like the canon color. Be more objective with the product you review.

I said the light is very good. I also said I wouldn't recommend a daylight only light when the SAME COMPANY make a bicolour light in the same range and it's only a small amount more expensive. Would you rather I lied and said I'd recommend the daylight version? The fact that I think, that for most people, a bicolour light is a better option doesn't mean that I said the daylight version is bad - I even mention that daylight temp lights normally put out more light so they might be better for a small group of people.
