You contextualize use cases better than any other gear review channel I've seen and don't shy from taking us into your headspace while using it. SO helpful, thanks SIO
4:20 you could also mention netting the exterior of the window to help bring the level down too
Liquid Death should sponsor this guy! His videos are so good and they make me so thirsty for canned sparkling water.

I literally LOL’d when you sarcastically mentioned putting it on a gimbal.
Aputure lights are just reliable and consistent for me. I got a few of their lights, and they just are all the same consistency and are easy to work with. It is a solid ecosystem to live in. And yeah, output is almost everything. I used to want to carry the 120d or a 300d because of size/weight. Now, I carry the 600d all the time cause I would rather have that flexibility. I am sure if I started over, the Smallrig would earn a look, but Aputure has been consistent and worth the cost.
The SmallRig light is super impressive for its price. I'd consider buying one. We use the Aputure 300d ii at my job and I am a huge fan
You communicate so well and make it easy to understand!⚡ Seaweed is "my least favorite" vegetable. I've tried to like it for so long and really can't get a taste for it.
Thanks for posting this on Instagram, I wrongly thought I was subscribed because I've watched so many of your videos, so you've gained a sub too!
Thanks for the review. It is good to see another light manufacturer throw their hat in to the ring. Shame that the magnetic on the little control panel isn't very strong. Hopefully some easy way to DIY a clamp to it without making it worse (I am good at making things worse).
Really not a celery guy. Aputure has been the go to brand but it’s nice that companies and making it more competitive to hopefully drive down prices. I may wait for their next iteration to see if they improve on the points you brought up!
Cucumber and pumpkin
Much love to all vegetables!!!

I like your style.
Next To-Do: Put my light onto a gimbal 😂
watermelon radishes!
If you have a small window that's blowing out, one cheap solution is to cover it with patio screen on the outside.
I’m just really not an olive guy. Never have been.
Your tests confirm what others have reported- the SmallRig 450D is as bright as an Aputure 600 (it was a solid stop bright than the 300 - which would be double the light output!) You really get the biggest 'bang' for the buck in the high-end range with the SmallRig (I got mine when there were some discounts/promos for $750 at Amazon). I actually returned the wired controller - I prefer just using the app.
You are awesome and this video is great
What’s your recommended lighting fix for people always in harsh fluorescent lighting?

Curious to hear his thoughts on this as well. Sometimes you are limited with what you can do and I’m in the same boat!

I'd try flagging that light from above your subject with something like a floppy or even a small 5in1 reflector just above what the camera frame sees. It should kill any unflattering shadows on their face coming from above and then you can add your own soft light from the side. Here's an example! drive.google.com/file/d/1WN5ONif1IaLetGAzfHIojwsqaOAtGhE7/view?usp=sharing
🔥🔥🔥
Least favorite?? Maybe okra on its own
I love my vegetables! And this video!
Not all bi color lights are dimmer than their daylight counterpart, the new Nanlight and Nanlux bi color lights are just as bright as their daylight brothers.

Wow! I didn't know any brands had achieved that. From their marketing materials it seems like they're the first. Thanks for the correction.
This is exciting because when Aputure first hit the scene they were innovative because there wasn't a lot out there like it, but they weren't "great." SmallRig can only go up from here.
