Working out in Beat Saber, for me at least, is all about over exaggerating your movements and "dancing" with the beat. You really start to feel the rhythm, and the workout becomes so natural and effortless that you don't realize you're working out. 30 mins later I'm panting, sweating, and just burned 500 calories. Just like WII Bowling, you can flick your wrist, or swing your arm. How the user interacts with the interface will directly influence your efficiency and effectiveness.

Yeah, it's a more effective workout if you try to go for max score, because that means doing big full arm swings to try to get >100 points per cut. If you're hitting most of the notes and only getting a B grade you're not working hard enough.

It can be waaaay more exercise than what we are seeing in this video. Also, he hits the cubes too light and doesn't get in the 100+ score hits on average. It is more about the style of the user and how long it is played without any brakes.

All you have to do is play expert no fail and try your best to hit all the blocks and dance at the same time don't just swing arms alone, youwould get a much better workout. Dance and swing, great for cardio if you move your whole body.

You get a better work out and a higher score if you make your swings wider. Instead of just flicking your wrist, put some power into it and go for as wide of an arc as you can. Personally, my workout is 30 minutes of Knockout League (boxing game) and then a couple hours of Beat Saber on hard and expert and I've noticed a huge difference in my arms after just a month of doing this. I have a gym membership but haven't been once since I got my Vive because my arms are like jello every day. It's BY FAR the most fun I've had exercising.

for someone that doesn't work out often and ends up sitting all day, this game is really great. Even if it's not like going to the gym and running for an hour, it's fun and it gets me on my feet for at least 3 hours a day. If i eat like normal and play this game, there's gotta be some benefit since I'm moving more every day. Another really great thing about this game is even though it kills your shoulders you end up getting used to it and as you follow the learning curve you don't get as sore as the first few times playing. also the squatting. damn.
