I love this. I'm definitely going to try it. One question: how did you light the model? Did you light paint her with a flashlight or with a strobe, or did she just pick up light from the whips?
@LightPaintingPhotography

The model is illuminated from the ambient light off of the Light Whip, no other lights were used! :)

I have a quick question. How did you get your camera to focus in the pitch darkness before hitting the shutter button? My camera was unable to focus on anything and went on "hunting" mode forever
@LightPaintingPhotography
6 жыл бұрын
How To Focus in the Dark: There are two main ways to focus in the dark. The first is you can illuminate the space with either a bright flashlight or if you are inside turn the lights on. With the area illuminated or lights on you focus on your subject using manual or your automatic focus. Once you pull focus on your subject switch your camera back to MANUAL mode and then turn the lights off. If you are outside in the dark or you don’t have a light bright enough to illuminate your subject you can take a flashlight and place it next to or on your subject where you want to focus. With your subject illuminated with the flashlight then you focus on your subject using manual or your automatic focus. Once you pull focus on your subject switch your camera back to MANUAL mode and then turn the lights off.
Nice!! ThatS one foto and two seconds exposure?

@@lukas_g243 so you're saying Coz of long exposure the camera didn't capture the photographer ? Or removed it later with Photoshop or something?
Is it possible to achieve this type of light painting using a pixel 7 pro? I'm a total beginner and plan on purchasing some paint brushes soon.
@LightPaintingPhotography
Ай бұрын
YES. You just need to set your camera up for a long exposure, I think the Pixel 7 has it in the settings =, if not just get an app like Long Exposure Cam. You can capture Light Painting on ANY camera that has the ability to do a long exposure.

The Folomov B4M is about $40 it fits the Universal Connector well it is 1200 lumens and has a good constant strobe. amzn.to/3oGuLK5 Frank from Light Excursion also makes Custom Lights that are great, they cost a bit more but they have more features, The best way to reach Frank is on his Instagram here: instagram.com/lightexcursion/

Hi Paul. The model is illuminated from the light radiating off of the Light Painting Brushes Light Whip, that is attached to the flashlight using the Universal Connector. There are no secrets that are not being shown, we create these tutorials to inspire and share techniques. If you give it a try using the same lights and camera settings you will get very similar results. Enjoy
worst light tutorial ever way to much talking for what was actually produced
