Lifting in the Workplace | WorkSafeBC
Lifting is a common task in many workplaces. This animated video illustrates the risk associated with lifting and suggests ways to reduce this risk.
Employers in British Columbia are responsible for reducing the risk to workers when lifting in the workplace, helping to prevent musculoskeletal injuries (MSIs), educating their employees on lifting safely, and implementing control measures to minimize reaching and bending.
In this educational video, we see some of the most common activities that increase the risk of injury when lifting objects in the workplace.

Those solutions work, but you can also do the old "bend your knees" solution. When picking up a sizeable box or load, and you're doing it alone, never lift with your back! Always bend and use your knees while rising up with your arms and hands.
This video shows some good points about how to avoid back injuries. Back injuries are too common. Some of these are by lack of training, while others may be attributed to workers who rush to lift something before they think about the consequences.
¡Excellent! Thanks
