I think he's been beat up by bigger fish/herons/turtles (I'm sure you have turtles in that pond) or some larger predator. His dorsal fin also looks like it's taken some abuse during the 2-3 years he's been out there trying to survive in a fish-eat-fish environment.

I build those kayaks, they get heavy after picking them up all day lmao, the storage compartments have sharp edges when the cnc cuts them out, part of my job is burning the plastic with a torch, If you run your hand around the holes you'll feel that the plastic is rounded over and smooth lol

Hey nice video. I've seen a few folks review this kayak, which is a nice budget offering. My wife and I are thinking about getting a few kayaks, but are not sure if we want to lay out alot of cash until we know we love this recreation. You did a nice job with the review, and of course the fish is one reason why I would prefer an angler type set up for a kayak. Would love to go fishing by myself. I have a Bantam 3x which is fun to take my sons out on, but it's definitely a two man operation, whereas this set up I can handle on my own. Love the Matthew 4:19 reference. God Bless

It was awesome to see one of these budget kayak reviews, from someone who hasn't already bought ALL the other kayak, and isn't comparing it to a bunch of kayaks I know nothing about. Rather just a guy who doesn't know much about kayaks, taking one out for the first time and letting us know how he feels. Thanks, bud. This was more helpful than virtually every other kayak review vid.

My channel isn't as cool. But there's some good stuff in there as well. My car has been broken down for the last couple months, and have been fuct over by a few mechanics along the way. So hopefully I'll be able to get the thing back on the road again, and start posting more fishing adventures on my channel..perhaps some time in the near future, I'll make a couple different chanels. That way, I can have a dedicated fishing chanel, a dedicated opal cutting Chanel, and another channel for just random stuff. I think the dedicated channels seem to get more views, and subs.

Lifetime has 3 other kayaks that have the stadium style seats in them which are a little more comfortable. Dicks sporting goods has onr called the Teton. And the other 2 are called the Tamarac angler pro and the Yukon. Ive got the Yukon found it on sale at a place called Blains Farm and Fleet for $400. Its a really nice kayak for the money. I did make a few small changes to the paddle holders and the bungees in the back. But really it comes pretty much ready to go.

1st time kayak buyer. Great video. Bunch of them on this model but most are informative My questions are: 1. 4 scupper holes. Nobody explains how to plug them? Don’t they need to be plugged? 2. Nobody mentions the max length of the paddle that comes with the kayak? Unless I missed it Seen one video on this model all he mentions about all the extras added to make it more user friendly. At maybe $100-$150 extra costs? One may as well buy an Old Town already that has the features….and money ahead

tyler. Nope, the technique I use is to put the kayak half-way into the pond/lake, then I hop in and push myself the rest of the way off! I use scupper plugs to ensure no water comes from underneath as well!

If you have any back issues sitting that low would be terrible. I don't understand why so many kayaks are sold with terrible paddles that are too short. Great video though. If your young and spry it is probably fine with an improved paddle. That kayak would kill my older body but if you are young go for it. Why do the scuffer plugs not come with it? Aren't they essential? Thanks

Every single place is out of stock of every affordable kayak and they don't know when they will restock. So i got stuck paying nearly double what they are worth. On the bright side, i found what i was looking for finally and will be on the water soon! Thanks for the review!

For $725 each you could have got a much better boat. For around $300 the Tamarack is a very good boat, If the price goes much above $350 you're better off spending just a bit more for a better yak. Here are some very good examples of what you could have had in the $600 to $1000 range. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZdmyJmxl8_Jdaw.html

I live in Iowa and bought this same kayak and same colored one you have in the video. I used it today on a lake for the first time, it was very windy so it was hard to paddle going into the wind. I got pretty wet with small waves hitting the kayak. I couldn't fish for the first two hours on the water because of the wind. But, later in the afternoon the winds died down and I was able to fish for a while. It felt strange to fish while sitting down. I really like the kayak, but I am pretty tired and sore for lack of kayaking. Overall, it was a great time and I can't wait to get out back on the water with my Tamarack Angler 100.
