As a visual learner this was highly appreciated. Took about 45 min to do.

Okay, this isn’t something imma put together with Santa in the middle of the night. Suffice it to say imma just grab the rim and put it under the tree with the ball as a SYMBOL of what the gift is. 🤣🤣🤣

This video is a life saver. Definitely better than reading the manual. Thank you. The parts can definitely be labeled better.
Very helpful. Thank you very much for offering this video. Without an electric screwdriver/drill, you can add a lot of time to the process but it can be done.
I am working on putting mine together still. I've had to file down so many of the holes because after they were drilled they were powder coated, making it impossible for the bolts to go through. One of my 2 springs is mangled, so I need to contact tech support next week. This is definitely a 2 person job and will take probably 4 or more hours. I am almost done.

One minute in and I can already say this is an amazing instruction video. Thanks for the quality work!
this video is immensely helpful. might as well have a qr code linking to this video in the paper instructions cuz i swear half the time is spent trying to interpret exactly what the diagrams are trying to get me to do.

Great help,keep up with the good work!
Do you have to thread down the gem nut on the U bolt. Does it matter or is it fine with the nut you put after putting the springs
Love how your GBUs just fit right in 😂 comical. The ones provided do not go in just like that.

I had a jard time with putting on the springs on the hoop.

Since the springs are compressed and have not been used, this is what causes it to have a hard time to go into place. We've found that it's easier to do this step by grabbing a closed end wrench and pulling it towards the hex bolt. 7:46 so frustrating. The ABB nut is absolutely too small for DFE bolt. I took them to a hardware store and they confirmed. Even bought a lug for my drill and just about broke my wrist trying to get it on. They will not go past the flush point of end of bolt.
Is there any other way to do step 6? Can I drill a hole with a drill tip and then screw the screw?
If I want the hoop to be short can I use only 2 of the 3 poles provided? Will it work?
@LifetimeProductsAssembly
3 жыл бұрын
This is not possible. This will create a lot of safety hazards and the assembly will not be done properly.
Step 1.4 what size are you using on the impact driver?
how do u tighten the rim
For the speed shift system step 6.1, would it not be more helpful to have pre-drilled pilot holes to attach the pads. Not all of us have drills with torque to do this. I tried a couple of the drills that I have and still have trouble drilling through the frame.

@@LifetimeProductsAssemblyTo add to that, isn't water going to be funneled down under the pads and now go directly in to the holes that we drill into the frame? So now they aren't protected by powder coating and will rust... Might have to skip this step to extend the longevity of the product.
Is there a way to better secure the net?

A drill is recommended when it comes to drilling through the poles. Other than that, you’re okay to use the other tools recommended in the manual.

Video is great, anyone have an issue where the top GBU didn’t fit but the bottom on did? Guess I need to call lifetime on this. Watched the video to confirm, def putting them in the right spot but the holes on top aren’t quite big enough 😭

Why can’t you put weight on top the base so then you can move the hoop easier
@LifetimeProductsAssembly
Жыл бұрын
Doing that will cause damage to the base so it doesn’t preform like it needs to. It can dent in or create cracks by putting stuff on top. Putting sand or water in the base, like it’s designed to, will help it stay in place so the system doesn’t fall over while in use.
Is it possible to remove the backboard? So pretty much it's a hoop with only a rim.

why is step 2.6 built so stupid it just doesn’t work

None of your poles are labeled. Took a long time to make sure the correct piece was being placed the right way. Something that can be assembled in about 45 min took 3 hrs. And the instruction to fill the base with sand earlier is garbage. Your written instructions are complete crap.
Are the ABB nuts 🔩 on page 8 of the instructions manual supposed to not screw all the way?
@LifetimeProductsAssembly
2 жыл бұрын
These screws are center locking nuts. Since they create their own threads it's hard to screw them all the way. We find it easier to have a socket wrench to turn the nut and a regular wrench to hold the nut into place.
