@@cursey7304 I wouldn't call her fanbase small, given , at the time of writing, with 3.75 million of YT channel subscribers and roughly 840 million views. There are countless, seemingly way more popular artists, with way smaller numbers on their YT channels. And of course, there are some with much larger numbers, such as for example Billie Eilish, which stated that Aurora's 'Runaway' mv triggered her to start a career in music.

@@shelfwarrior42 no idea where you live, but as little example, in my country, Aurora had two gigs this year, well sized venues, both gigs were sold out 6 months in advance. And approaching 5 mio subs on youtube and close to 700 mio views with Runaway subtracted (~1.2 billion with), tell that she's by now way more known than many other artist. And that Hans Zimmer, definitely very well known, recently called her to be the vocalist for his soundtrack for the BBC Frozen Planet II series, did not happen just like that. But of course, depending on what kind of music one generally prefers, one never may learn about Aurora. And that's just fine. There are artists that are much much more known that Aurora, but also many that are less. And this is what it is.

This is a great interviewer! He initially asked her about her childhood and she responded saying she believes we are strong enough to not let our childhood define us. But later he gets her to admit that music was her coping mechanism as a child, a way for her to raise questions and make her own answers. She also mentioned her being sensitive to her feelings and being bad at dealing with everything around her and she then continues to talk about her childhood. It takes a good interviewer/speaker/listener to get that out of someone so casually! Great job! 👍🏽👊🏽

I completely understand that. I just want you to know that you're not alone. It's okay to feel that pain. I recently found myself sobbing watching a que full of Auroras live concerts. I realized I'd been holding in all of that pain since before I got clean, from never grieving the loss of my parents (we had very tumultuous relationships) and since becoming disabled and never grieving the loss of my health. That crying rolled into the next day, as did watching all of those live performances again. Something about her way of expressing emotion and pain broke something down inside me. I'd never heard of her before this year. Now I have regular days where I'll put her music on and have what feels like more healthy crying sessions. I hope all of that made sense. I'm rooting for you to find peace and I know what self-medicating is like. I'm just sending you the biggest internet hug.

I´ve watched a lot and I mean A LOT of interviews of Aurora over the years but I have to say that this one has to be the best of them all. Over an hour of deep, interesting and unique questions! It was an absolute pleasure to listen to all of her thoughts 😍 I never really thought about it this way but when Aurora talked about what the concerts mean to her it just clicked. Her shows are a safespace for all the repressed emotions we have! Everybody who attends an Aurora concert knows why they are there and that they can just experience all the emotions that come to them without any judgement because the know that all the other warriors around them feel the exact same way and are just glad that they have finally found a place on the earth and a group of people where they can be truly themselves. This is such an amazing view on concerts and the music she creates ♥️♥️♥️ She creates music and art not because it sounds nice or brings her fame/money but because it helps her and all the people that listen to her mentally! I really believe that she would even create music (or any other form of art) if she couldn´t sing or play instruments at all, just because it isn´t about the form of art that she creates but about the atmosphere and feeling that this creative process generates 😍🤯🤯 After this interview I love our little norwegian faery even more 😂♥️ Oh my lordy lord!

And I didn't even noticed anyone around me, or maybe it is better to say that I realized they were there but they were feeling the same so we were all one and I didn't feel shame or anything, it is hard to describe but it was beautiful and I hope I can live that again. I am grateful she has been privileged enough from the beginning to be able to somewhat comfortably negate accommodations (or better said, her parents decided for her) but it's clear she is autistic and adhd, even if she herself chooses to believe some people are just magical and introverted. Life is not a fairy tale and I'm just concerned about her mental health going forward without professionally addressing some key aspects of herself while dealing with such amount of fame and hard work for every tour. She needs to be protected at all costs.

This was........incredible. I've probably watched this 5 times since it was uploaded. It's THAT good...that insightful. I always knew Aurora was highly intelligent, ethical, and creative. But I had no idea she was this WISE. I'm 38....and yet this pop star in her early 20s is educating me on how to be a better human. She's so ridiculously self actualized, it's honestly hard to fathom. Whatever she's doing, whatever her secret is....it's working for her. I'm just genuinely grateful she exists at all. She makes the world a far better place by being alive in this world. And lastly....huge kudos to the interviewer! Excellent questions, great rapport, perfect listening skills. You clearly were engaged with her....this was a truly interesting back and forth that brought out the best in Aurora. You pushed her when it was necessary, pulled back when needed, never stepped on her toes, and lead her into really cool terrain. Far and away the best Aurora interview I've seen/heard.....and I've seen/heard all of them. Would love to see a part 2 at some point in the future! Got my fingers crossed!

For me, a fantastic interview. I was very worried that the psychologist would try to go pretty hard in AURORA's personal life. He succeeds well in being objective and sensitive with his questions. I myself have some nasty sessions with psychologists. Enough about that. I have followed AURORA for several years now and probably seen most of what is on YT about her and this is by far the best interview with her. Even though I missed a bit of her slightly quirky side. Many were things that I had heard before, but that she says that she started pinging on the piano when she was five instead of what you heard before six was an important detail. Listening to her gives so much. The most interesting part for me was when they discussed the power of the media and the last third was so rewarding. I usually say that she is my healer and the thing is that it is her tone and voice that does it, not always where she says. Then I must add that I really do not worship her but she is probably the closest I will come to loving someone without actually meeting her. This is not an artist spectacle but a fairly deep conversation between two people and perfect starter for those who want to get to know her more (but definitely not everything, luckily) This got a little long and certainly not many is going to read it. just want to apologize my bad English

Hahaha Håkan, not suprised to see you here: "I must add that I really do not worship her but she is probably the closest I will come to loving someone without actually meeting her", ive seen you commenting on soooo many videos related to Aurora. I have thought to myself "oh no, its him again". And the reason? Because you always recommend reactors to Murder song or Lucky, which is the darkest songs by Aurora or the HAIK concert which I think is not the best concert musically, maybe because it is in the middel of the woods. It look beautifully tho. Nothing bad against you, I just found it very funny to see you here and i am pleased to know that you at least is aware of that and not totally obsessed with Aurora (which I am at the moment, hehe)! Very, very nice interview, Aurora is so freaking smart, reflected and well spoken! She will be looked back on by the history books of the future, that's for sure.

Aurora provides as much, if not more, value to me in just being herself than in being a musician that I listen to. Don't get me wrong, her music is fantastic, her voice is absolutely unreal, but it really isn't the sort of style I listen to. I have to brace myself for it because it's almost like "spiritual Drano" lol. Not the kind of stuff I always turn to in most situations. However, it's the messages and the energy and spirit that goes into making it that intrigues me so much. It's her! I think I get even more out of her interviews and just witnessing her being so free as a person than in listening to her songs. She's one of the most fascinating people on the planet, by far. Her very existence is medicinal. And she likes Metal bands like Gojira and has preformed with Norse Pagan bands like Wardruna...The range of her interests and her art is incredible and she's the sweetest person I've ever seen. Normally, someone that sweet would almost make me cringe because I can tell when it's a bit forced at times. NEVER have I seen Aurora "force" anything. The fact that she's genuinely like that and it isn't just an act for the cameras is so amazing. You can tell. She's the real deal holy feel. I simply can't get over how interesting she is.

54:33 Oh so wise words from her! When we are feeling down or angry or other negative feelings just feel it and wait until it's over. An THEN do something about it, talk about it (to others, when in conflict for example) or analyze it etc. because as she says, we don't have the right perspective when we're overwhelmed with the feeling. I need to remember that. Thank you!

I've watched this a few times and you cannot be anything other than inspired by this young girl.so open and so honest in everything she says,I have ad the pleasure of seeing her live in concert and the overwhelming thing I took away with me was her humility and genuine love for her fans, there were times at the concert which you can also see in this interview where her shyness comes to the fore, and it's a beautiful shyness for I genuinely believe that she dose not know how great a artist/performer she is,it's a quality that you don't see very often in people.she is a very special human very grounded and you know that what ever music she produces in her life it will always come from her heart and the things she believes in.it would be wonderful if we all had a friend like aurora.❤️🍏❤️

I am an -old - INFP like her, so I can relate to most of the things she says. Don't judge hard on yourself, don't judge others hard, take things day by day, give yourself silence, connect with nature, cut yourself off from the daily bad news in the press, cut yourself off from the competitive social media, never bury the playful child inside of you, prefer eye to eye contact above chat, show your feelings, don't be ashamed to be vulnarable and just human, be honest and loyal, enjoy the privileges of the COVID-periode as any introvert loves this (made me smile), tell people simply when you're not okay. I guess the most prominent problem why people are hiding their emotions and cover them is the fear of being exploited by others for them. To show your real emotions makes you vulnerable and unfortunately there are a lot of people out there that use this vulnerability against you for their own (pretended) advantage. Most people experienced this in their life and it hurt ... of course it hurts. So this is a pure self defense from not being abused for your shown emotions. And also in a competetive and performance driven society, emotions are not seen as very productive. Which is sad in itself, but it prevents you from being productive like a robot, but that's what most bosses expect. So the activity that ensures our material existence (work) mostly doesn't allow to show emotions openly. And that shapes and leaves a big footprint in the human mind. I wish people would stop this abuse and start to adjust expectations to a healthy human nature.

Therapy sessions are very personal, but I wonder how many people could be inspired to seek assistance if the people they look up to shared conversations like this. It can be really therapeutic just to speak with a professional who knows how to ask the right questions and guide a conversation.

(you could've gone Joe Rogan episode long and I would've stayed for the whole thing lol). It's been really fun and interesting seeing her develop over the years. Not only as an artist, but in the way she's evolved personally in her thinking and the ways she communicates her thoughts and ideas. Our little Aurora is growing up right before our eyes (lol) and it's such a wonderful experience to be able to witness. The only thing I would've asked for (other than more time lol) is more funny, creative or uplifting topics and questions. Of course, that might not necessarily be the main goal or focus on this channel, but I loved it all the same :) Hopefully she'll come back again some day!

Despite her songs being proof that she understands many dark aspects of the world, you don't really see her be too open about her own personal struggles. You’ve said it all about Aurora she’s amazing :) . Gudmundur is a really goid listener. He really cares about what’s being said. He integrates into himself and reformulates in his words what she says to him to keep things clear and show her he is 100% into this conversation. A very good exchange!

Thank you Aurora, to tell us a bit more about yourself every time , i discover things in you that i relate in myself, it makes us feel less alone, understood, normalized and reassured . I hope you are going good, and don’t worry about your community, warriors are marching with you, and have no expectations or pressure, just love ❤️. Kisses from france 🇫🇷
