I think this is one of my favourite Aurora interviews! I love that he hardly ever breaks eye contact with her- it shows that he really is listening and in tune to every word. And he asks some questions that other interviewers have maybe never asked her before, which gives us some new insight in getting to know her better. Loved this. I really enjoyed their conversation! ☺️

We all can do our part to help spread kindness, awareness, love. Everything is connected. Your actions, thoughts, it all ripples out into the world around you. Do what you can to focus on your own internal happiness. For your internal happiness can be a light to help guide others. Aurora is a good example of someone in alignment with her self & look at the impact it can have on others. Try to find time to spend in nature. Even if its only a couple minutes, it will help ground you. Find ways to help protect/reinforce nature, even if it seems like something very small. The more calm you are internally the brighter your internal light will shine.

This made me cry for some reason. I suppose because as an artist I relate to aurora... like it's almost strange that she exists and that her music has developed such a strong pop following. I think she really must wish she could exist in a small community and still be an artist.

I do have to say that I think Aurora is okay, having followed her for some time now she has made it abundantly clear that she lives her life her she wants to live it. If she would want to create a different kind of sound for herself I believe she would. But that she is part of this journey. I think she also enjoys the technical parts of it but Aurora being an artist will never die. And I hope you won’t either. Because it doesn’t need to end, the universe wants what you have to give, not what the industry is turning every artist into. There’s already enough of those. Aurora is precious, and so are you. 🩷💜

@@rafaelvandoorn4590 oh no I mean I LOVE her music! I love pop music. I have no problem with people developing popularity and following their purpose. For me… I just really feel how hard it must be to not be able to have that authentic connection outside of being known. For me it’s something I would not want as a side effect of getting popular. And that music in its origin is for healing and guiding oneself and others but when fans are “at” you the true meaning of the artist relationship as healer and also healing self is hidden. But I admire Aurora and she makes the world a much better place. And her true mission has not gone unnoticed and unfelt.

disconnect and I've seen things through my own eyes in my life like violence, sexual assault, domestic violence, and other things that I prefer not to say explicitly because I never believed I was and it doesn't mean I don't value education, and knowledge in general, I love all these things, it's part of being human, and part of growing and learning through mistakes but yes it's strange now it comes to mind that no one has said much about anything other than the obvious, it kind of makes me wonder. I really feel like getting a bible out and I'm certain I'll find something relevant, or some philosophy, she's inspirational, and every other artist and genuine people. Just from what I learned and noticed from artists, they express something that I appreciate regardless of certain differences, a respect for what they do, and some clearly put it in their music and some helped me realized some things about diversity and expressions/slang. Do you know what's strange? Women and Men, and those before and the future of Women and Men that use superficial means to feel good, sexy or beautiful. I'm not attacking anyone, and I'm not saying anyone's anything less then who they are as a person (I don't perceive people through status, but other means), we see things for a reason, we see homeless people, we see other problems, they aren't there because they're there, or it's missed because it's not important or it's their choice. If alone and put yourself before your eyes and you can't face yourself or ask questions let alone it's difficult to, then what I said before are just signs, and no matter how crazy or insane something is or sounds, just wait until you actually speak to people "victims" of society (generally), then think about the opposites of these people. It doesn't change much, but it's a perspective and signs of things. There's one thing that stuck to me, and a quote from a game I played from call of duty "war, war never changes" and how each culture has a story, and the world has a story and their own history and how connected it actually is that I feel I'm dying over and over again to the point I understand the quote of "insanity is doing something over and over again", because I experienced this. Can I tell someone this? Yes and no, I do it watered down because I laugh, I laugh at myself and I never laugh at the people who see me as crazy or I'm "too out there", that more upsets me, not so much of me individually, but what they mistake with things, people see many things in many different ways, it's annoying and as a Man it upsets at times to my very core, it's difficult to hold composure or hold my tongue, I either stir over it, or I cry. It's an injustice to the divine and all the religions and spiritual practices, and what makes a country a country and the world a world, and the universe the universe. Only 1 person I met recently at work, he's a great person with a genuine unique soul, early on who also taught me something, Aurora There's only so much from the people we see easily, and the people we see in our own lives and the governments, the leaders of today's world can do, just it's strange that people do not care about the whys of why did someone shoot up a school, why did someone harm someone, or did something out of pure intent to hurt, or do something, there's only so much before something gives in. It's strange that normal people (I'm normal), can just value more of what can be of gain to themselves. It's strange some people in groups don't welcome or become suspicious of people out in social settings alone, nor aren't compassionate or even empathize something that really is just empathy of themselves and not the actual person they look at. The fire I feel in certain times inside my stomach is new, rather than wanting to physically hurt, and not because of me but fooling myself into believing and that certain feelings of insecurities really is all me, I experienced was just a blessing in disguise and sure measurement of later reflections to learn about something. I care for people, I don't care for shallow people once I allow them to trip me over, I get back up, and realize something. Noone Know's in my experience and understanding from where I come from of what appreciation looks like without words or the subtle nature of it let alone other things, no one knows (I don't know everything and I'm one perspective). A drug addict in broken homes knows who to respect in their understanding of society, but the entitled disrespect people they perceive have more material gains. It's general.

The interviewer some good questions, and Auora sounds very wise. There is a disconnect in places I think, and I hope people clue can clue on to what music and dance and other cultures are about. I think if people looked within themselves, accept what they got regardless, and appreciated what they have as Auora said connecting to the soul, I think people will see people for who they are, and not feel the need to use labels in their personal and social lives but also not lose awareness of themselves. It sucks, because people who actually deserve to be around good and well-meaning people or just being as is, get put in positions where others act in ways that cause the disconnect or a vibe or interaction that comes at a loss, rather than equal give and take, and an awareness of moments in any setting, a balance and well-meaning actions. It sucks, because love isn't possession, love is free, and not people's possessions. Love isn't there to fill in peoples voids they did themselves, and the cost of the person giving it. I'm not depressed, I'm not happy, not anything but it's disappointing because if people can feel responsible for what others have done, why can't people for a moment or however long it takes just listen to what they see and ignore all the noise and clutter before them. Can we appreciate while learning? Yes. Can we express gratitude while learning? Yes. Can we all sit in-between moments of silence with awkwardness? Only once one individual, gets comfortable with knowing how alone one really is and that not doing this, is part cause to people who experience depression.

The question about a "favorite tribe" was a bit weird... Indigenous people aren't like bands or mascots that you can have a "favorite" of. They are diverse people with complex cultures. Idk if you would ask "do you have a favorite nationality" or sth... although i realise this question may just have been phrased awkwardly. Still I don't know how to phrase this part of the interview in a way that doesn't perpetuate the "magical Native" trope. I mean I think Aurora does her best to answer this question, just felt a bit weird! No hate tho

I get what you mean but I don't think it was putting it as a mascot or fantasy, I think it's normal to have a favorite culture that fascinates you. like I love japanese culture especially anime and a lot of native cultures I think they're just really interesting and like learning about them. and when people of those native tribes today share their culture through food, jewelry, holidays, it's very beautiful. and I think there's nothing wrong with enjoying that? and in that case having a favorite would be natural

@@Bruh4reel @Joh-hy9fg we are all native to somewhere but I think it's clear what group of people I was talking about (indigenous people) and it doesn't match this decontexualisation. I'm not sure where did the impression that I'm offended come from - I'm just sharing my thoughts in a peaceful way based on what I learnt about stereotypizing indigenous people. Just because I might be critical doesn't mean I'm offended! If people stopped falling into those easy generalisations of accusing people of being "offended" and therefore cutting the conversation about the actual subject short by discrediting the message because of the perceived "offended feelings", maybe we could have more interesting discussions! :) it's not whether something is "offensive" or not, it's about approaching things around us with healthily critical/analytical spirit, especially if we belong to a group which normally can afford ignorance on social issues. For example this fragment pushed me to read more about how white people used to treat indigenous people as either savages or wise magical people who's ways are oh so impossible to understand and who exist only to impress/aid the settlers - both of those approaches are dehumanising, even if one seems better than the other. You may not agree with it being the case in this particular vid and that's OK I'm not saying I'm 100% right but in some media or history stereotypes like that happened
