@@justadaam I don't listen to Billie Eilish because of her fashion choices. She could wear a paper bag and still have the voice of an angel. Her acapella version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow that she sang for James Corden first gained my attention, and I was excited to hear that she is considering exploring more of this type of music in the future. She had gained so much success in her short life, but she seems to have a grounded attitude with good people and family supporting her. I see only bright things in her future!

It is ingrained into my feel good mood and Billie (yes, Holiday has a special place for me as artist of voice and emotion) Eilish is original and heartfelt. Beatles, Picasso or one-hit-wonder? She is herself and whatever will happen in the future? So, old man (myself), have your view and let each one decide on their own. Kid?! Every person is allowed to have an opinion. 30 years ago I had to look up what the word condescending meant.🤔💌
Billie is just so cool. Super smart, charming, honest and vulnerable. It’s just lovely to see her.

She’s never been on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show before. Stephen could feel that Billie needed calming. She became much less nervous as the interview continued on. I’m just glad that Stephen dedicated all the time in world to do this interview right.

Billie has never been on TLS in the studio in front of an audience before, but she was a guest during the pandemic via zoom (also a great interview), which is of course a whole different thing. Sorry for 'splaining if you already knew that. 🙂😊
Shes just such a genuine person. What a treat. She's had the child hood all of us should have had. And she's passing the goodness on to us with great talent and kindness to animals with her veganism. She's a gift to us all.

I always enjoy Stephen Colbert's interviews. He is intelligent, compassionate, curious and more. This interview with Billie Eilish was lovely. She too is intelligent, compassionate, curious and pretty down to earth, seems comfortable in her own skin.

❤ her! She's ahead of her age. Shes more grown up than most "adults" I know. Young adult Billie Eilish continues to amaze me. I hope she stays grounded this way and her best will not be taken by some craps that the Music industry is littered with. Wishing her n brother Finneas more successes in there Music Careers.
She puts me in mind of P!nk… so uncomfortably comfortable with who she is, so articulate and paints the picture perfectly of what she’s trying to convey. Love her ❤️

Steven really knows how to interview an artist, or anyone really. He puts them at ease, gets them talking about their work in a very natural and open way.
two of my favourite people together, I love it so much. Billie is such an inspiring person and I still do not know how is she only 22 and I love when Stephen let them talk and you can see how much he is interested in their answers and it feels like a friend session and not an interview and these kind of interviews of his is just the best. So put them together and you have gold. Thank you so much.

Really mature response about how an artist can't control how their work is interpreted and how that is a beautiful thing, but it can be hard when confronted with those interpretations as a public person.

Don't you just love it when the perfect song shows up just as summer kicks off? It's a jumping off place, it sets the mood and the pace - it's like standing on your doorstep first thing in the morning, looking around, and then taking that first step and saying "Let's go, let's start this adventure, bring it ON!"

That is the beauty of music, you take away from it whatever speaks to you and it may not be the same reason or meaning for the artist. I can't count how many times a single line from a song has held a tremendous amount of meaning for me that was completely unrelated to the rest of the lyrics. For example, after my mother passed, I sat with her in the room at the hospice until they took her away and one line from a Blue October song kept going through my head, "I can't explain the way I feel inside." That line is really out of context for the song but it made sense at the moment.

Everyone was so eloquent in this, it was a pleasure to watch.
Never heard her before... but i've heard some of her story. I'm impressed that she's 22 and this eloquent. She's not perfect and polished, but that is awesome. I love that she's THAT intelligent and DGAF to show it and isn't trying to impress or satisfy everyone.
