This kid Christone "Kingfish" Ingram knows how to make a guitar sing, cry, laugh, cough, yell, scream, shout, groove and everything the emotion can do he manifest in the guitar. He’s a totally different dude with that Les Paul guitar connected to his body. He is one of the greatest guitar players on the planet. Hope he gets well on the weight loss side of things.

So wonderful to see people embracing Kingfish and giving him the help he needs to flourish health wise. He is a guitar king and they all want to support him and his gift.

Wow. ❤️ I'm having trouble conveying just how much respect I have for this young man...he is very much the "real deal." If he can take that passion & energy from his music and apply it to his weight loss journey...there'll be no stopping him!!!

They obviously have no idea that they are on stage with a guitar God.

Just saw him live and met him last week in Los Angeles. He’s made real progress. I hope he keeps it up! There may be relapses, but I hope he stays on the path. Please pray for him and support him. He is a wonderful, immensely gifted, fantastic young person and a phenomenal guitar player. I would like to see him around as long as his mentor, the great Buddy Guy.

This kid is a legend

Christone is who he is. He is an avatar of the blues. He will be here as long as God wants him here. If he lives to be 80 it is God's will. If he lives to be 25 he will have made a more powerful contribution to the music and inspiration to lives than most people who live to be 80.

i found this after i found a bunch of videos of this young man slaying guitar festivals. he doesnt need steve harvey splashin him all over the television to fix him. im saddened that he went down this path, looking for help with weight, or however he ended up in the hands of a comedian for self-help. He got sold a weightloss program for his concerns. i just dont want someone so talented to get swallowed up in some hollow promise with an ulterior motive of selling commercials and the brand. i want the best for this young man, hope he finds what he needs to find a healthier life, in the same way that i find one for myself as well, but i doubt this helped him like they made it seem.

fuckingimpossible have you seen his 2017 videos? He hasn't lost weight, he's bigger than ever. Must be close to 350 pounds by now, like a Sumo wrestler.

He's the one the world has been missing since SRV died.

Just bought Christone "Kingfish" Ingram's first cd. Absolutely phenomenal! Great voice, great player, and you better buy this because this kid is going to be great!

This is a good good young man. A polite fella and I’m going to say it, yes I’m going to say it. I’m 64 years old. Been listing to rock, blues, jazz all my life. The top 3 king guitar players in the world as far as I’m concerned are Jimi, SRV, and Kingfish. I know there are a host of musicians that are great talents but we have to have some order of things. I wish Christone “Kingfish” Ingram all the Blessings in the world.

They should have let him play. Mouths would drop. He needs more exposure. Amazing talent.

That's what I'm talkin' bout! Steve, you're a blessing, bro. Godspeed, Christone. I lost 70 lbs going raw and plant based, along with cutting out bad foods and exercise. 61 years young with a BP now, of 110/62. So never say it can't be done. Teacher used to say in class, "Can't died". And she was spot on. He's on his way to a healthier existence and his talent can't be stopped. Playing that Blues, like he's lived it, and he probably has. I was teased as a kid for being fat too, so I get it. Also a musician, so this story really reaches home. More creative now, with less burdens on my heart, and vital organs. From hypertension and HPB to new life. Let's see "Kingfish" do his best to get whole and earn that Doctorate degree, Omega Psi Phi.

He has actually lost weight and is on the right tract. Plus he is a blues legend in the making. A grammy winner.

I hope he is doing this for himself and not due to public pressure. People tend to love you when you are on top but as soon as things begin to go sideways you instantly turn to dirt. I witnessed people boo one of the greatest blues legend of all time, BB King, when he was attempting to perform for them although he was very ill.

Even when he talks his voice is musical.

This is all about willpower and drive, either you have it or you don't. The first thing you need to figure out is how many calories you burn per day. If you consume more than that amount you will gain and if you consume less you lose. I hope you are successful and you live to play the blues for years to come. Best of luck.

Yeah but that just means we won't get to hear from him very long. That kid is gonna kill himself if he doesn't get that weight under control which will be very very sad.

He's lost a little weight, but he's still a big boy. Check out his album, Kingfish. It's pretty good.

I'm not a fan of diets weight loss programs and all the rest. Some say that if we replace the nutrients that our bodies need by taking vitamin and mineral supplements then the craving for junk food will disappear hopefully they are correct, it's worth a try at least. I've recently lost a ton of weight (155 pounds) but it was cancer that made it easy. I'm now cancer free and my weight has levelled out at 185 lbs. It was a Godsend but it's up to me to keep the weight off. I'm now 64 years of age, when I was 40 years old I lost 97 lbs so I know I can do it. This kid is so precious as are all of God's children I hope he makes it I really do.

Bean, steam cabbage and onion diet would do the trick young man! You could eat as much as you want and get filled. God bless you Kingfish Ingram and keep on rocking and rolling like a stone.

and diets suck, you have to find a way of eating that you enjoy, around 2 to 3,000 calories a day, its all about calories and a bit of quality food, no junk, maybe a yogurt, little bit of chocolate , something as a treat and yes have that every day, but thats it. and discipline , without it, forget it.
