Life Quarantined in an RV

We have HUGE NEWS! Click here: bit.ly/tangentswithtylerandtodd for our BRAND NEW WEEKLY SHOW, Tangents with Tyler and Todd, airing EVERY Wednesday!
It’s been a month in the RV since the isolation, lockdown, or whatever we’re all calling this situation started which is kind of hard to believe. The days and weeks have started to blur together but as you’ll see in this video, we’re pushing forward and still creating hopes and dreams for the future, while doing our best to pick up some life skills along the way.
Modifying the RV and turning it into an off-grid tiny home is definitely not something we thought we’d be doing right now but it makes the most sense for the current situation. If you have any helpful tips that that will keep the RV nice and warm during the winter months, be sure to let us know!
We hope that wherever you’re experiencing your self isolation lockdown you’re doing so with the future in mind too… This won’t last forever and it’s an incredibly opportunity to learn some new skills and grow as a person!
Just as a reminder, our channel will still always be entered around the RV lifestyle and the effort to show that being a gay couple is the exact same as any straight couple but for the foreseeable future it’s going to feature less travel and more of the construction/building that will go into converting the RV!

My husband and I watch your weekly post. We look at our lives, and see the similarities you are going thru with your business and decisions. We met in our late 20's and we had to make a lot of hard choices in our lives. Some not so difficult, but some very difficult. I was in the military, and risked being discharged daily, even when I was sent to war in Desert Storm. But we made it. Tom and I celebrated 30 years together last month. And things have certainly changed since we first met. We have raised 2 children. We now have 4 grandchildren. But America has not made it easy. That is why we got married in Canada. We are both excited about your lives and the opportunities you have. And those opportunities you created together. The Virus will fade, hopefully soon. And you will go onto your next adventure. We continue to watch for your next adventure. Godspeed.

When we first started rv-ing, we got a small 16' trailer. Very light at only 2,500lbs. We had a Ford explorer and we hardly ever felt it behind us unless it was windy. When we would go to camp grounds we would see these big trailers and motorhomes that were massive. But when we would talk to the owners they always told us the same thing: we wish we had gone smaller. They all loved our small trailer? Fast forward 3 years later, and we now live in that small trailer in an RV park in Washington. (But we still dream of going bigger) You guys keep reinventing yourselves! We love watching. Found your channel about 3 weeks ago and now have watched almost all of your vlogs. I used to cut my mom’s hair. Once I said jokingly that I seemed to do a good job every other time. So after that she would ask, “Is this going to be one of the good ones?” A friend of mine has always cut her own hair as well as that of her husband and their 3 kids. They must have saved a small fortune through the years. Good job, guys!

Hi guys, in my humble opinion you're offering the BEST content on KZread right now! You've shown what it takes to self-isolate and yet function as 'normally' as possible. For example: taking your dogs for a walk, meal prep, discussing what the future holds, etc. I've been in self-isolation for over 4 weeks, but I remain sane by working from home, going for walks, making a trip to the grocery store about once a week and staying connected with friends and family with the aid of social media and my phone. I look forward to your weekly videos because they make me feel like I'm in the room with you ... laughing about sticky cookie dough or bad haircuts. LOL Thanks again for bringing a smile to my face each and every time. Big hugs.

Clearing your land takes me back to my childhood where my parents bought a property in Masons Pt. (Hd of St Margarets Bay). For 6 or so years we plonked our 23 ft Terry trailer there and that was our summer place. We did have a well and a septic system with a weeping field (definitely consider that). Once I got much taller and kept bashing my head on open cabinets, my father decided to build a house simply because the family was outgrowing the trailer. Much of my childhood was spent on the Pt. being a feral child for about 6 weeks.

Just discovered your channel and thoroughly enjoyed all the videos. But I must admit I enjoyed your Nova Scotia videos more than the travelling America vids. I enjoyed how you guys make every day situations, wonderful experiences of coupledom. That's what my husband & I do in our lives...it maintained the marital excitement, built on our partnership, friendship & overall relationship. Thank you for your positivity & enjoyable videos.🥰🥰🥰

You aren’t the only ones cutting your own hair. Today I dug my Flowbee out of storage and cut my hair with it. Did an acceptable job, but not as good as you guys did with trimmer and scissors. Good luck on the wine making, it never would have occurred to me to do that at home, I’ll be very curious to learn how it turned out. Oh, and one bit of advice for when you build the driveway on your land: a proper drainage system installed as the base is getting installed will save lots of $$$ later because it will keep the gravel from washing out with every heavy rain.

You guys are so funny with a little or a lot of wine in you, I couldn't stop chuckling. The haircuts came out well, the back of Todd's looked really good. I love your theme song, every time I hear it it stays in my brain til next Saturday, then Sunday it starts all over again. Will be over to sample the wine and if you are going looting, I can use a new set of tires. Thanks Guys

Your videos make me so happy. In Adelaide (Australia) we are not in a lock down as quite severe as other cities but we are in social isolation. Saying that, it’s wonderful to see you both being so real and honest! I’m still working as I work in a hospital as a social worker but that is all the social interaction I have, so it’s a joy to look forward to every Sunday when your next video comes out. Thank you both. ❤️

Hi Tyler, Todd, Charlie and Eddie. You are a beautiful little family, and so inspiring with your love and attitude to life. I think you have coped marvellously with the isolation, especially in light of your free roaming of north America. Lock down is an absolute pain but you are handling it so well and with such great humour. I find your vlogs entertaining and inspirational, especially at this time when my partner and I are separated by the border lock down. He is back in Bali after we spent New Year with family in New Zealand, but I had to travel to Australia for business, and now we are both locked down in separation, which is upsetting and stressful. At this time in particular I look forward to your videos each week, which are so enjoyable and very therapeutic in this difficult time. You are so happy and funny - I loved the salon routine :-) Just too cute for words. I love all four of you and wish you all happiness and success in your new housing venture. You bring a smile to my face every time I see you, and make an old guy very happy. Bless you all. David M

Hey, always look forward to your Sunday videos. Always entertaining, informative, and most of all - FUN! Even during this lock-down period of uncertainty you have managed to capture our attention and enjoyment. Suggestion: If you haven't already, could you consider dedicating a part of an episode covering Charlie and Eddie - their personalities, their habits, what makes them such lovable companions? Thanks for consideration.

Well boys we arrived in the Texas Hill Country on March the first. The weather has been beautiful minus a few thunderstorms. Don was flying back and forth on the weekends since he still had to work. The airline pretty much came to a screeching halt about the same time you guys headed back home. So he has been working remotely and its going pretty well depending on the wifi. Thankfully we made the rounds at the wineries were members of because most of the wineries shut down when the Texas Governor passed down the shelter in place order. I am really glad we decided to just shelter in place at the camper. We're at least able to get outside, read a good book while watching the ducks. They have closed all the State Parks so we are really happy we booked a site at the RV resort. We got a surprise concert from a Country and Western artists by the name of Cale Moon. Never heard of him but he was really good. It was good to get out and enjoy the fresh air even though were still keeping a 6 foot distance. Funny you broke down and cut each others hair. Don is really wanting his trimmed but doesn't trust me with the trimmers. Well hopefully this virus will end soon and we can all get back to normal. Stay safe. Keep us updated. Looking forward to introducing you guys to some really good Texas wines. Chris and Don
