Sending love as always from newie . you, Gary, Paddy, Trev and @kingiinit inspired me during the never ending NSW lockdowns to break free and do what makes me happy. Fast forward I am now working FIFO between the hunter valley and Wongamat (that sentence in itself is a trip) You probably don't remember me, but my first visit to Jomtien in 2022 you were so sweet and talked me through my hotel quarantine and being ripped off by my Airbnb at the Riveria Jomtien (you didn't have to do that, but it shows that you're a good guy). Here's to every cold, crappy night shift that you've got me through by reminding me what I'm working for. and to proof that there are genuine people left in the world.

You might want to manually set focus on your face and turn off autofocus when doing dialog shots. I see many other KZreaders making the same error, so I thought I'd mention it. Good luck.

Last year, I lived in the Jomtien area for 6 months and my monthly budget was $3K and that's with companionship with a regular Thai lady for 3x a week without buying any LDs and barfines. I did not eat any western food due way more expensive and been eating Thai food in the market. In my early 50's now, I was planning to retire but I changed my mind in the very last second and back to work again in CA, started from scratch. Will do this again, next year.

Or a blockchain for international payments and transactions. And in Thailand you need your physical foreign passport to bank, currency exchange, pay bills, check in to properties. Passports should be digital so they aren't damaged, lost, or "run out of pages". Immigration agents could digitally stamp & update them. And your visa agent or national embassy wouldn't need to keep your hard copy f/ three weeks. I know, I know- fraud. But bank acc'ts & bill paying are digital.

Hi , If We get a retirement visa can we do our 3 months online? Also if you don't show you have 800,000 in the bank is there another alternative such as income? They said you also need an address but if we just go over then we will be in a hotel.

Heres a good question for you because I know you want to keep things positive. If I meet you someday Ill ask you this. My question is "After your old Aussie friends see your life and see how great it is, are their people you tried hard to change their lives and get them to move here because you want to better their lives"? And do they write you off and double down and tell you how great living in Us-Jail-Ya still is? This is my exact story after living here 5 years coming from America.

Haha well I finally managed to convince my mate Sam to move here and I have never seen him happier… I don’t push people back home, they can see I’m here because I believed in myself when everyone told me I was making a mistake.. so I’ll let my success do the talking 😉 Great question though, if you see me, I’ll go into more detail 😊

LOL actually slight exaggeration with Japan, I'm here now. You need cash FOR SURE + real credit card + (optional) phone. I've already been in at least 15 places in just 1 month that didn't accept "tap" to pay and wanted a physical card. I've been in coffee shops that were cash only or some sort of local QR code payment that I can't do, if not that then cash is mandatory.
