Love your book recs! I think you'd really love Babel by RF Kuang; it's a historical fantasy about friendship dynamics at a British University and the Opium War that the University is involved in. I loved Yellowface as well!

Our “puppy” turned 17 on may 20th. She’s perfectly healthy besides one eye she hit sky diving off my lil sis as dare devil doxies do 🤦🏾‍♀️ and she’s become VERY doxie stubborn but she never was stubborn til the past couple years! 😅
