Finances can be a huge stressor. What we did is put 20 cents of EVERY dollar we make in savings and left it alone. It takes discipline, but after a while, it became automatic for us. It is a structured way to save, easy to do, and the balance grows rather quickly. Just sharing what works for us.

That works in house life too. I live on ss, so 2 times ago I stared a system I still use. I was living on what I got, when got raise I put that at in savings every month. It's been 3 rd raise now coming, but I can now get new carpet I needed 10 yrs ago. Auto and persistent works

One of the things you can do when you’re in a funk… is to not believe everything you think. Often we beat ourself up more & entertain negativity as truth. Set yourself up to chill and get a really good nights sleep. You’ll find it rights so much in your world ❤

I get these bursts of appreciation for my beautiful life...and the first thing I do is thank God. I've lived through very stressful times, very uncertain times, times when I didn't know what I was going to do....I had so much fear I couldn't sleep and I had 3 young kids. This might sound cheesy but the only way I could sleep was to picture myself curled up in God's protective hands. If I could sleep, I could get through the next day. I don't share my beliefs generally because this life is a journey...and everyone is going to have their own journey.

I spend all of my 30’s in financial hardship . I was raising 3 kids on my own on a teacher’s side salary: $600- 800 a month , seeing for people and doing childcare before and after school and school vacations . And going to school at night for a Teaching program . It was so stressful . I am 67 now and retired . I honestly don’t know how I did it . But I did finish school and when I retired I left with a comfortable ( for me ) pension . For self care I meditated . Later when I could finally afford it ; I got massages , Reiki healings and allowed myself a splurge of a pedicure once in a while . Living frugal became a lifestyle from my struggle years . I enjoy your videos become you are so “real “ and you are humble and have such a lovely spirit . Blessings.

What to do when I'm in a funk: Honestly I listen to Joplin....like real loud....Nina Simone....real loud....I grab anything for a mic....I sing...I don't care if anyone hears or sees me....music saves my life everyday....endorphins are released and there you go love...connect with that universal energy.....YOU ARE PERFECT❤

I am new to your channel and loving it. I am going through hard times right now and your channel is giving me encouragement. I lost my house and car this year and trying to rebuild my life. I bought a 2003 Honda Odyssey and started food delivery. I absolutely loved it then two weeks later my car won't drive faster than 2 miles an hour. A mechanic said it is the catalytic converter. so big bucks. I am trying to get a job to fix it. I have a cat and worry about doing vanlife with him because he doesn't like being in a car but hoping he will adjust. It taught me to be thankful and appreciative of what we have. Thank you for your videos.

When I’m feeling in a gloomy state, I listen to my favorite music, watch comedy sitcoms (old and new) and I go for walks. I watch one comedy a night before bed. Oh I also keep a gratitude journal.

I hope Meowzers gets used to the leash. That video footage did make me laugh, but then sad as I realized the situation. It was great to see you two together. There is a Canadian vanlifer who travels with two cats and he has a little popup kitty tent (vanlifeplus). It folds up so doesn't take up much space, and pops open so you could just pop Meowzers in and then go about your routine... I also saw a video a while ago where a kitty had some kind of tracking device, but I can't remember whose video it was. For self care when I'm feeling in a slump I do naps, swim, and chocolate anything... Lovely video as always. 💖💖💖🙏

I like naps and chocolate and swimming too.. I’m fortunate to have such a nice place to swim, but I think maybe I’ll try to add more naps and chocolate 🤔😊💖

Make some hat and scarf sets and post them life. You can take orders and mail them as you finish them I’ll buy a set.

Get the belt replaced as soon as possible. I had a belt break and I had to get a new engine. The breaking of the belt ruined the engine.

For sure get your timing belt replaced ASAP. Honda Pilots are the best if the maintenance is done. If your belt breaks, you will be buying a new engine which cost thousands of dollars, instead of a thousand fora belt. So no more $5 coffee in the mornings. You need to save the $5. Just being real.

I found that using a battery operated portable fan around my neck ( Amazon) helps a lot and spritzing my neck, face, and hair helps to stay cool on hot days.

My 2nd day of watching your videos and I'm hooked. You are a very awesome person. I have much respect and admiration for you. I love how you literally share your life and feelings with us. Timing belt is important. Honda’s need them replaced at about 95,000-100,000 miles. I replaced mine at 80,000 something. Now I am at 160,000 and wondering when they need it again. I am such a Honda fan! Typically I drive them about 300,000 miles then a kid needs a car. I like my Ridgeline but several people want to buy it. Yet I don’t want to sell it. It’s a good truck! I got the first one and I hear it’s better than most. I hit a blizzard going over every mountain range save the Poconos last November when all those storms rolled in from the PNW. It didn’t care and didn’t blink. Locals pulling over or sliding off to the snow banks but it didn’t blink.

I know this is an older video, but I just discovered your channel and I’m binging a bit and I must say I LOVE hand-done hats and throws and I’d absolutely would love to have the chance to purchase anything you might crochet! I just watched you dye yarn in a video yesterday - which I love - so I do hope you sort out how you might offer items for sale.

You always have to remember that every one goes thru stuff it how we handle it . I always think someone is worse than me and I can get thru this cloudy time !! I read a lot , do diamond art or dance exercise . lol also just be mindful what’s around you where ever you are even in the forest areas there is evil everywhere. But looks like you are making it remember you have a roof over your head and a warm place to lay your head down.
