Thank you so much for sharing your story. I too, was raised in this cult. I was raped by an elder when I was 16. It has affected every aspect of my life until this day. I thought for years that I was the only one. I felt isolated and alone and that I had to hide my secret because it must have been my fault. Even though I begged him to stop what he was doing. My life as I knew it ended that day and I was placed on a path of confusion, distrust, anger, fear and isolation. I am so thankful that this evil has been opened up and is seen by so many. The truth ALWAYS comes out. And still, there are so many who choose to ignore, cover up, or just shield their eyes so they don’t have to see.

I actually had my legal and medical rights taken away in retaliation for reporting something similar that happened when I was 16 and I have advanced degrees that I didn’t get to use.

Thank you so much I grew up in this and was so skocked at all this abuse We have gotten out after all of this Our Overseer Gerome Flandel is covering up everything he can and we don't see much change at all.

I belonged to that cult in the UK, left 20 years ago but the majority of my family are still in it. The hardest thing is to accept that all the teachings you have grown up with was a lie! It’s turned me against religion but so lovely to hear your story x

My wife used to be in this cult. Praise God she came out of it and we were married before the true Church. We are taking care of my mother in law and she is still in this wicked cult. She is so ingrained that even trying to talk to her is a challenge. She did have some workers come to the house for lunch. We had a very heated discussion and they have not been back since. We are told by Mom not to talk about her religion and we continue to pray the Lord will set her free. Thanks for sharing your testimony.

Thank you for watching. It is very difficult to speak reasonably with one whose mind is convinced of the two by two way of life. It's like any other cult mind set, they shut down the conversation. Some have patterned responses to logic and reason, and that can be frustrating for anyone trying to break through that barrier. I think I finally just decided to just continue loving them as always, but to refrain from theological discussions, unless they requested them. I believe our prayers are powerful, and join you in your prayer for your mother-in-law.

I knew Peter. This is absolutely shocking. Thank you for video and sharing. My dad was a "worker" before marrying my mom. We've heard lots of stories but, when I started hearing about people leaving the church___ And a tiny bit about why____.

Perplexing isn’t it, grappling with the word truth itself after something you’ve lived in called The Truth is not truth at all? I remember being a little girl and told my neighbor friend my age whose dad was the Methodist minister down the street, that our way was the only true way and everyone else will go to hell. I was raised in the same way as you. I left when I was 17, much to the protestations of my dad, who was an elder and we had at one time Wednesday night bible study in our home. That ended when my parents divorced. Sadly dad died believing all of his kids were doomed, because none of us are in it anymore. I was raised in it. It’s all I ever knew. I always sensed something wasn’t right. I understand. I believe you’re doing really good. I’m glad you are in counseling. I got professional help for years. Your sweet heart has guided you to the real truth, and I’m thankful. I consider myself a survivor. It’s been 43 years since I left. I can’t say that I’m shocked by the news of the abuse for my own reasons, yet I was shocked at how many perpetrators have been made known and I expect that will increase. I feel for everyone who have been affected by this false belief system. Thanks for sharing your story. You’re beautiful. 💛

My grandparents belonged to that cult. Preachers (two by twos) wed and Sunday meetings in peoples homes. Went to a convention every year. Did not go to a church. Also called non-denominational

This group (cult) is unique in that it prefers to have no name known to outsiders, and even among themselves claim to have no name. They call themselves The Truth when speaking to insiders. This, and the fact that they don't have church buildings (meeting in homes or community halls), also keeps them relatively discreet. They prefer to be a bit under the radar, believing that those who belong to God will be led to them by Him.

@@lindaaletatame9650 Insiders called it "The Truth" or "The Way" - (ironic that Jesus said only HE was the Way, the Truth, and the Life) in the PNW of the U.S. when I grew up in it. I've been referring to it as the 2x2s since getting out in '84. Linda - you reminded me of my Mom in this video who wrote one of the first books circulated in North America after The Secret Sect. Bless you for sharing your story.
