very well done! i thought it was going to another typical walking video, but no! it was surprisingly different! better in many ways, but i do like a simple walking video sometimes, especially when it's done right. you grabbed my attention both visually and auditory at the beginning and kept my attention till the end. you got my thumbs up and a sub! maybe (if you could) add 5 more seconds to each scene would be nice, nothing wrong with a few more seconds for the viewers to absorb. great for the viewers and to your youtube watch time analytics. win win! oh and your window reflection is at 6:50. lol.

You would have to be a mountain goat to live there, I don’t think there’s one flat area in the entire city! In many ways it reminds me of Halifax, just much smaller, but still a proud part of our maritime traditions….aka, bars, bars, and more bars! LOL! I guess you work up at thirst climbing up all those steep hills! If you want to make money open a automotive brake shop, with the entire city built on a hill, you probably have to change your brakes more than you do your lightbulbs! I definitely would not want to be driving down one of those streets in the dead of winter without chains on my tires! I’m afraid I would end up in the harbor! But it really is an incredibly beautiful city, with so much history, it’s an absolute must see for every single Canadian, and for everyone for that matter, as it plays a huge role in the Americas history. It’s amazing how few people know it is the oldest city in North America, first being occupied countless centuries ago. There’s just too much to describe using mirror words, the only way, the best way, to experience it is to go there, trust me you’ll be glad you did, the people are unbelievably friendly, especially if you come from a big city like Toronto, LA, Chicago, New York, etc. We’re not used to complete strangers talking to us, but after a few days, they make you feel like you belong there, just trust me on this, if this Covid thing ever calms down, make it a point to go visit the city, and the province, it’s absolutely stunning, and massive, give yourself a lot of time, if your goal is to drive around the entire island. Luckily I have a gigantic family on my mother side from Nova Scotia originally, but now they’re scattered all over the Maritimes, which is great, free accommodation! I think the thing I love most about it besides the family people, is the feeling of being in a big city, yet at the same time feeling like you’re in a small town, because the people are just so personable and kind, something I’m definitely not used to living here in Toronto, where if you look at somebody the wrong way you get shot.

People bumming on the street is a part of pretty much every major urban area. This is not a new concept. There does seem to be more in St. John's now in the last few years than there used to be, though.

The guy at 5:56 lives in my area; in a group home. I've seen him around the bus stop (which he does wait for the bus at) recently, so I assume my info is still up to date. He takes the bus out to town where the customers are plenty - an approximate 32 km round trip - since in around our area there's not nearly enough people walking by any given place to sustain a panhandler. I don't know why he is in the predicament he is, nor why he chooses to participate in this, but I do want to make it clear that he _does_ choose to do this, and he's _not_ (to my knowledge) actually homeless. Further, he's not unique when it comes to this concept. As a few have pointed out, this is a very common thing to see in and around the city, and there's a vast array of reasons that lead to any of those people winding up where they do. However, given that there is a fair drug problem here, many citizens won't give any panhandlers money (directly) because they are likely to use it to buy drugs. Other times people won't give because they believe (or know) the panhandler isn't in as dire needs as they let on, and not too uncommonly; a panhandler will get salty at you because you don't give them money, causing you to ignore them from then on in an attempt to avoid a repeat of that situation. One annoying instance with myself involved a very persistent guy; who, every time I walked past (I was unloading a car and had to walk by him multiple times), would ask me for change even though I (truthfully) told him I literally had no money to give him at the start. His requests got progressively angrier as I had to keep denying him, then eventually I ignored him. The majority of panhandlers aren't like this, but you (inevitably) get a percentage that is. A popular thing to do if you want to help is offer the person food, or any other necessity they may need, and if they only want money it's best to move on to someone else who's willing to accept your help (but not money). As you can expect, the homeless (and those in need) are quite happy to receive all resources you're willing to give -- not just money. We have groups of generous people that either knit garments, make resource packages, or otherwise go around giving items to the homeless throughout the year. This helps, but it can only reach so many (and only last so long). Through more participation in these types of activities, more people could have a greater affect on helping the homeless (and people otherwise down on their luck), instead of just believing they do any time they 'spare some change' ...
