I've been in a wheelchair since I was 19 and I'm 70 now, 5 years ago I bought an electric chair and allowed me to do what I hadn't been able to do for a lot of years, so I totally understand how doing small things mean the most to those who are at a point where they have to be in a wheelchair to complete their daily lives. Congrats on the awesome chair I hope it brings you all the freedom you want.

As explained by JerryRig it seems like if You're a wheelchair user with a proper disability diagnosis you can go anywhere with these things that you can with a wheelchair, at least in a broad legal sense. Until someone tries to take one into a public library and causes a court ruling.

This is incredibly cool. I also highly appreciate your camera mount!! I think you should just do videos cruising around chatting. Names wise, my vote is Scar CAR! Said like a bird noise (Scar - KAARRR)

Hey Scar, I know that this is like, a super late comment, but seeing you ride around in this wheelchair actually had me tearing up some. Because my dad was a permanent wheelchair user when I was growing up, and my mom is currently in a wheelchair, so seeing the way that people are designing new wheelchairs that give people their freedom back, just, gives me really good feelings. Makes me realize just how far we've come since the 90's when my dad and I used to run his wheelchair up and down the aisles in Kmart, laughing like maniacs the whole time, while my mom did her shopping and pretended to not know us.

Can we get a remake of this video as the world needs to see you screaming down the street yelling "HOTGUY"!!! 😉

I've watched this video... At least four times now (not in a row but every few months I come back) I'm fifteen and within the past few years I received some diagnosis for things that really changed my life. I'm a part time wheelchair user and probably the worst thing for me is imagining the things that I used to be able to do but can't anymore. This video made me cry the first time I saw it. There's still things I can do and this just shows that no matter what situation you're in there's ALWAYS something to appreciate. You just have to look. It's the little things that really matter. I may not be able to do some of the stuff I used to be able to do but I'm closer with my family and friends than I have ever been. I've learned how to speak up for myself and let people know when I need help. I love you guys. Keep going. Keep living. You can do so much. It's okay to ask for help. Helping each other is what makes a community stronger.

Just read your comment man, I almost cried, I was paralysed from the waist down from a rare disease named transverse myelitis due to going hard at a festival. I’m still struggling with my condition as my bladder hasn’t fully recovered, but my walking is much better. It has been pretty tragic on my mental health, but I have to say people with disabilities are the strongest people ik, and I’m so happy for you man :)

Scar's positivity is infectious. It's really inspiring to see his attitude and joy as he gets to roam around outdoors for the first time in ages. Also that 'wheelchair' is amazing, and is really more of a quad than anything! Too cool!

This is just so wholesome omg. People walking by that bench probably don’t even notice it, and obviously don’t sit on it, but the sheer joy on your face and in your whole posture when you were sitting on it was just beautiful. I’ve got Autism, and accommodations mean everything. When there’s something that non-disabled people might think of as trivial but which is nearly impossible w a given disability, that then becomes accessible bc of accommodations - just the pure unrestrained joy, the exhilaration, that “oh my god I can do it. I can do this thing that I’ve been wanting to do for so long but haven’t been able to. This is the best day of my life!!”

I'm autistic as well. Most people flat out don't understand many of the issues we face. Especially sensory issues... social issues as well when you are verbal. They expect us to just learn how to communicate properly, but our brains just straight up cannot compute many aspects of social interactions.

As a disabled person myself , gosh this video means the world .. seeing other people of my community having more accommodations and accessibly in their life is just so amazing and heartwarming 🔅♥︎💗💛

I keep forgetting that Scar uses a wheelchair honestly, but it’s nice to see that he’s not letting that stop him from what he wants to do. Very awesome video :D

I have never come across your KZread videos before but the algorithm decided to show me this video of yours. I was crying tears of joy because you could visit your backyard once again. You were able to go up the hill and sit in the park bench that nobody uses. These things that I can still do, seeing you do them for the first time in many years brought me this joy. I cannot imagine the feelings it has brought to you.

As someone who lost a arm. It made me so happy to see someone who lost something like me to do that once again!

My sister has been in a wheelchair her whole life. She rarely goes out anywhere and when she does, it's either the hospital for a doctor's visit, or school. Seeing this makes me incredibly happy. I hope humanity would invest more time and resources into similar technology that helps disabled people regain some of their freedom.

It's great to see that even the smallest of things can change someone's whole world, and to see someone so happy even in some of the toughest circumstances, it just makes me so happy. (and kinda emotional :,)

Should call it "Elytra" because it can get you all the places you wanted to get to but were too hard. Really happy for you Scar, so great to see you so happy

i just found your channel and started watching your content but I can't even describe how happy this made me. I am so proud of you Scar and i'm so glad you get to experience joy like this.

As someone who is disabled and lost my ability to adventure into nature... and knowing how much that mobility can mean... seeing scars face filled with happiness made me cry tears of joy. I loved this video and happy to see you regained something you had lost!

Whenever I see Scar with stuff like this it makes me smile. He doesn’t let anything get in the way of enjoying his life. He’s always positive despite having reason to be bitter. Inspirational
