Lakey you still my favorite pro surfer . Because you rip , are beautiful, have such a sweet relationship with hubby (sup Thomas) and your just so easy to root for . Mahalo and Maui Strong ❤️

❤ so good to see you and tom tom, and the pink railed CI :) it did not look like one of our 6'6"s, but im guessing those only come out in bigger waves and i know you surprisingly like to ride shorter boards, even though i still have faith that you could rip longer boards as wel, given your power and strengthl :) but i guess it just means less dings on our board, keeping it in like new condish for me. i sort of fell off the tour and surf circuit around or just before the huntington beach contest, and have been swimming (training) in pools and following womens competitive /olympic and ncaa swimming since some months. but i missed you and never forget you. anyway this video is epic. your free surf session waves were so perfect, and you are looking in top form. what amazing and elegant grab rail stance in those barrels. you were full on charging those waves :) its good to hear that despite not finishing the contest and tour the way you intended, that you are motivated for next year, which will be great :) so happy that you continue surfing, competing, ripping, and staying motivated and inspired. i want to remind you that your return to the form you are in now after your back injury, is an amazing accomplishment :) be good, take care, and hopefully people at lowers stop yelling at you and tom tom, and maybe maybe we will get to sometime actually really paddle in the same waters sometime :) ill keep having a look at your videos in any case, in the interim :)

Your weekly videos are a little bit of sanity for me in my office-restricted life. Thanks for sharing all your thoughts and experiences, Lakey. Love the content 🙏

Love your stuff Lakey. Look forward to 2024 and get ready to roll. We are with you ! I am still sad that the WSL missed on so many good swells this year - hopefully next year will provide good waves at all the tour stops. Hang in there, take some time off to re-charge, be well, stay safe, and take care.

Tough business to dabble in! Love the attitude that Lakey has. "more fired up for next year". Super positive. Looking forward to see what the next season brings.

As far as I know there was only one reported casualty at Teahupoo in the early 2000, which is amazing considering how heavy the wave is.

Good luck next season always fun rooting for you! There is still a world title with ur name on it 💪💪🇺🇸 . hopefully they make some changes next year to the tour (longer waiting period?and remove the mid season cut) wave quality was 👎. What are the plans for the off season?

Lakey, the WSL keeps talking about the "next generation" of champions. Next season, put a" can full of a** wuppen" on those pretenders . The championship goes through Peterson. Just win.

Thats it, I just do not understand. I think scientists need to study you. So, there is a wave in the stuff BEFORE the contest in which it looks like you are down on one knee, but your all twisted. Yet somehow still surfing. With one foot, down on one knee. WHAT IS THAT? I am looking at Greys Anatomy, and all I think is....THAT HURTS. And shave Toms head.

@@Lakey_Peterson Showed it to my ex who is a PT, and she has LOT LOT LOTS of questions about IT bands and LCL stuff. Basically, she said swimmers are the worst, but that did not look okay. As a swimmer I agree.
