I'm loving the quiet way you are capturing life in Germany. I've been to Germany many times to visit family there (My mother is German) and it absolutely these scenes, the "little things", about Germany that make me love it so - especially when you are out for a "spazieren" in Nature or in a city. Walking around and just enjoying and observing the environment is something that is strangely difficult to do in the US - at least where I live. And kudos to being a student!! My mottos are: "better late than never" and "it's never to late to begin something new".

congrats on being a student at 40. i was 57 when i went back to do my second Masters degree. lots of work but totally invigorating. there's no age limit of studying and fulfilling our desire to learn.
