You have done well, but you failed to mention the fact that Nkrumah attended London School of Economics. Also, the opposition started bombing Nkrumah as early as 1955. Subsequently, a series of indiscriminate bombings were orchestrated by the opposition.. Seven assassination attempts were made on his life by the neo-colonialist agents in Ghana. Namely... Akufo Addo''s ancestors. Nkrumah, did not declare Ghana as a One Party State until 1964. He was overthrown by the CIA simply because he was more concerned about the welfare of his people and Africa which the duplicitous and rapacious US govt did not like. He will forever remain an African Legend. Thanks for your input. .

I'd add the fact that the 1964 establishment of a one party state came about as the result of the referendum in '64 as you will remember. A lot of ignoramuses still attempt to tell the lie that Osageyefo was a dictator. As soon as they speak you immediately know they've studied nothing of import about him.

Point of correction Ghana didn't get independence first country in Africa continent Sudan got it independence on 01/01/1956 Sudan got it independence before Ghana .
