💙 Who are we?
We are Ben and MP!
Recently we decided to purchase a two-masted wooden schooner in Brazil. The fun detail about our story is that the boat we bought was sinking and relying on many bilge pumps to survive so we had to lift it onto the dry to start a full refit. Once the boat was lifted (for the first time in her life) we realized that the work needed was much more than expected. Between bailing or accepting the challenge, we decided to go for the second option. Watch us as we bring Yabá back to life with the help of an amazing team of traditional shipwrights, sharing every phase of the process, overcoming the highs and lows and having fun along the way.

💙 Massive thanks to our amazing team of carpenters that never let us down and continue to amaze us at every step of the process: Toninho, Zeca, Hélio, Claiton, William, Nezo, Nico, Adilson, Beto and Luiz. YOU ARE LEGENDS!

I hope at some point all those involved at that yard get a chance for a short cruise and a barbecue with you as well. Especially the older gentlemen who's almost always never seen without a cigarette, I'm sorry his name escapes me right now. The level of craftsmanship that went into this rebuild was a pleasure to watch, getting it done old school with blood, sweat and tears as they say. Looking very much forward to continuing to see what and where your up to next. Fair winds, following seas, safe travels and God Bless...

WOW, what a beautiful boat in the water. The drone view while underway was stunning. I liked her looks while docked but that shot from overhead at waterline really shows just how great she looks. Full Sails and Happy Trails ! You guys deserve it !

Yes, and as long as I've been following yours and Tally Ho's restoration, something about your launch just took all our breath away, and TOTAY'S barbecue at the end was magic...cheers...rr Normandy, France

I had to watch the last two episodes twice to experience the joy on everybody's faces. What a fabulous accomplishment. Did you notice the two puffs of steam from the exhaust when you pulled away from the dock the first time? Look at the drone shot. I suspect it was an airlock in the salt water side of the exhaust cooling circuit which has now cleared itself. I do not remember seeing more steam when you moved the second time. Well done ALL of you.
