Folks are still pushing the narrative that Donald Trump has done a lot for the black community. It. Is. A. Lie.
In March, during a rally in Rome, Georgia, Trump explained why black people should vote for him.
In 2019, Trump signed a bipartisan bill that restored a permanent funding stream of more than $250 million to benefit historically Black colleges and universities.
It actually replaced a previous funding provision that lapsed several months earlier. So Trump's claim he "saved" HBCUs is a flat-out lie!
The Biden administration has accomplished far more for HBCUs by investing over $7 billion. Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough, the Past President of Philander Smith College & Dillard University joined Roland Martin on set to break all of this down.

Trump's record on HBCUs were the opposite of his official narrative especially in the case of the HBCU that I attended. 30 years ago, when I attended St. Augustine's College which was a real HBCU, at that time, St. Aug's was in the black and had an endowment of $10,000,000.00. Fast forward 30 years, and today, St. Aug's has a debt of $10,000,000.00, lost its accreditation, and the facilities on its campus are falling apart. Donald Trump was a liar when he was President of the USA, and now is a convicted felon in 2024, facts! I killed it!
