Bought mine yesterday with a spare battery as my cordless drill charger seems to take the 20v battery, its weird, the 20v battery fits into my cordless drill and works superbly but the cordless drill's 16v battery won't fit the impact driver. Surprised it didn't do the wheel nuts, tested it on my one's old hoary wheel nuts and they came off amid a puff of rust pretty quickly, you can really feel the anvils banging away in there too :) They had sold out of the grinders which no doubt were bought up by packs of feral moped robber gangs out there but I bought a nice strong set of hole saws plus the discs/wire wheel for my ancient corded grinder and will wait for them to stock in the grinders next time round.

Yeah, we have the very same PARKSIDE powertools for sale (on their temporary sales) in LIDL here in Portugal as well. So this was a very good help. Thank you for this video.

Hello there, I have to agree with you about most Parkside cordless tool's...a few year's ago if you purchased Pro branded power tool...essential accessorie's like a Side grip or a guard were optional. the thing that's so good about Parkside tool's is the quality and feel is as good as any of the higher end machinery.

I have the exact same impact driver, and I use it to remove wheels without any problem, Except when they have been tighten by some guy who thinks you have to put 250NM on a lug nut . Also, for that use, you need an impact socket and an impact 1/4 to 1/2 adapter, It really makes a lot of difference !

As you may noticed the battery is bigger on the photo of the angle grinder, as normally it comes with 4ah battery unlike the impact driver which comes with a 2ah you have there. There is a reason for that. If you plan to use the angle grinder extensively look for a 4ah battery. Also the impact actually CAN unbolt wheelnuts, just use a proper adapter that does not flex, and impact sockets. Also check the angle grinder bevel gear as most of ours here came with very little to no grease on those gears and without grease it can wear out very quickly.

love the grinder its like the old school type with the quick release guard and good spanner wrenh storage used to zip tie them to cable so not to lose it good vlog

I had a older type cordless dril 10,8V l for 4 years(till i bought a other one,a stronger one),but the one i had is still going strong. The tools are realy not bad at all.

I brought a cordless multi tool last year that stopped working. It was still under the guarantee so I contacted the maker's. They were so understanding and sent me a replacement unit.......so a great service.

I own few of the parkside tools and I'm really happy with them. A little cordless screwdriver with bits and flashlight it's been sitting in my car for 4 years now and i've done alot of things with it. Really handy for taking apart dashboards and other small things that don't need much power. The 20v drill is also pretty good in my opinion, but the impact driver is a hit and miss the torque figure isn't nowhere near the advertised although maybe it will be closer with a 4ah battery, but still wonderful for asembling furniture.

I've got quite a bit of the Parkside range, and for the price I doubt you can beat them. As an occasional user I don't really want to pay big money for power tools that I wont use every day.

Really glad I watched this. Now I will start looking out for more of there tools. Im a weekend diy'er.

Home gamer on a budget tear down. £30 in a grinder, 20% is tax a couple of % profit to lidl, a few % to cover the warranty, shipped from china, probably only a tenner to make, I fear how bad the electronicals would be in that.

To be fair, aside from the motor, it isn't normally the electronics that are the problem. It's normally the construction that suffers. The electronics in even the best power tools today (including Dewalt and Malwaukee's bluetooth system and apps) is old and cheap technology.

some are, but the circular saw cetainly feels like it's a toy instead of a tool, but the sawz-all is down right impressive, got that since yesterday...

I like this range of tools, have been picking them up over the last year and I have most of them now. They are all reasonable quality, and sharing the batteries is a good thing. If you do wear them out, they will be back in store in a year's time, but you have to catch them in the few days they are in stock. The impact driver isn't meant for automotive tasks, it is fine for driving screws. I found that out when I bought one last year. For cars and bikes, you really need an air or mains powered impact driver, and the proper impact sockets. Nice review, good to see the tools being tested out.

Bought the ratcheting spanners and diamond tiped blades from there yesterday and work trousers, really good deal.

Best cheap tools on the market had some for five years and still good, that Grinder is a steal.

Love Parkside power stuff got loads and they have been utterly reliable

Yeah here too great for paint spraying but at 50ltr tank its too weak for any air tools would need at least a 100ltr tank and as of yet there is not one

I got a lot of parkside tools very happy with them most of them coming up to the five year mark an still working well recently got air commpresor 50ltr great for spray painting but does struggle with the air tools

i have parkside bench grinder/belt grinder and i am realy happy with it. Built quality is better than every other cheap brand.

The trick is to make sure it brakes in 2 years and 300 days lol 😂

I have used my lidl tools on house renovation every day for 2 years now i don't see them failing...

I use the Dewalt DCF889 and the DCF887 on my car, They both work a treat. I'll pop in Lidl and have a look.

They look like brilliant pieces of kit, I'v a Bosch professional cordless and corded grinder and the cordless grinder spins at a much slower rpm compared to the corded version so it's not uncommon, the battery charge will last a lot longer in the impact gun though than it will in the grinder, you need at least 5Ah batteries in the cordless grinders to get a decant run time out of them

I have a parkside cordless impact wrench really good quality has some good weight to it and work’s really well It is also the same as the storm force so makes me think they are made by the same company It’s done everything I have asked it to do nice tools and great quality

I believe its all made by Einhell and there is a service website that sells spares including 3ah batteries. Also, the impact gun will fly wheel nuts off when you use a proper socket and half inch converter. Mine are done to 110nm and it has no problems. I didn't get the angle grinder but will next time round because it looks like a good piece of kit. I have the combi hammer drill to and this recently had no problems drilling out 10 12mm holes 250mm deep for fixing down a shed frame, the battery dropped to amber but it carried on going for about another two hours. I would recommend this kit to any diyer

Good wee video mate. Anyone wondering about their Parkside cordless range then stick to the 20v gear for simple DIY jobs. It breaks you take it back for replacement or refund if similar isn’t available all the way to day 1,094( depending on leap year😜😂). What’s not to like.

The Parkside brand looks amazing! The detail is awsome. I dont think anybody except Craftsman v20 is close.

I have one of the drivers and I can put some 10/145 mm screws through 6 inches of wood and I can also take wheel nuts off if thay are not rusted on

they usually stall when you use it to hard its built in protection for the battery

I just found out Aldi do two ranges of power tools. Standard range and Titanium+ range. Just got 2 hammer drills, 2 impact drivers, 4 2v batteries and 2 fast one hour fast chargers and 2 carry cases, all 18v from the titanium+ range. All for £160 with a 3 year warranty. Brilliant... Who knew..... Thanks for the video.

I have many various Lidl products in my home from lighting to tools and I find they are pretty good. Not sure how their tools would perform in a commercial environment but they are certainly great for home/DIY use. Maybe someone should put some Lidl tools to the test in a commercial envionment.

Great vid have had all the top makes over the last 30 odd years most only give you 12 month guarantee and on the corded tools come with short leads, l find Parkside tools very good value for money and reliability.

Those Parkside stuff are quite nice. I use them too. No problems.

They do an impact wrench with more torque for wheel nuts. That impact driver is more suited for screws and and bolts as you showed later. I'm a fan of parkside range too!

Testing an impact driver with such small screws ... My (makita) driver can easily drive 18cm/8mm screws (T40 head), or even thick lag bolts without pre-drilling.

For those heavier jobs or longer battery life I definitely recommend the 20v 4amp battery 🔋. Ok their £24 but still a cheaper price than similar high end DIY tool replacements.

I have one of their parkside soldering stations and its absolutely perfect for the low usage of a hobbyist like me. Their powerfix range hand tools are good too, I have a pop rivet gun and precision screwdriver set thats never done me wrong. Also picked up a rotatable bench vice for £20. Bargain.

you may find the angle grinder will spin a tiny bit faster at top end & also not stall out as fast under load if you use a 4Ah battery on it ( it may even state on the box/instructions that a 4Ah battery is recommended for it as its a high draw item - same goes for tools they sell like the circular saw & such too ) yes they will work on the 2Ah battery but your not getting the best out of the tool & alot of folks who have underwhelming experiences with these tools will most likely have been using just a 2Ah battery as its so much cheaper ( and sadly its the only battery you can get with a charger bundled in - if you go straight for the 4Ah battery you have to buy a seperate charger too unless you already have a charger already

Nice purchase....a little tip.... Get a wifi extender for your shed.... To pull signal from your house :)

Got a dewalt impact that does wheel nuts. But that was £80 for a bare unit. Got an old parkside skill saw I have had for about 8 years been abused and still going.

I bought some parkside air tools a while ago, an air wrench and air impact driver, (designed for taking off wheel nuts), and they work just fine 4 years later. The air impact driver needs a tap every now and then to get it spinning but otherwise it's a great little tool. Lidl do some cracking deals on tools.

Kl vid.bought myself a die grinder, not used it yet but interesting to see how their other tools fair up. I know you get what you pay for bit they dont seem half bad!

You can do car bolts with the right nut. Hard to believe but it works!!

Got jigsaw and drill. Both 20V. Have been abusing for a year no. No problems at all! Here in Lithuania we also quite ocasionaly get spare batteries for sale. Did not need to replace anyway. For the price absolutely nothing beats parkside. Brands like Makita or deWalt might be superior, but not 4-5 times as price is.

If you have the older 125mm Lidl corded angle grinder, don't use the Lidl wire brush (as shown here). The brushes are a bit out of balance and get worse as you use them. I used mine to remove paint from masonry and it broke the aluminium "gearbox" where two of the mounting screws go through it.

Don’t worry about the price! I’ve got a makita 18v impact driver and it won’t take wheel nuts off! Like you said they are designed for screws and wood bolts and so on, for bolts I would recommend an impact wrench for more power

@@renspeene5326 it depends which machine you have. I have also Makita tools, the smaller impact drivers with 1/4 inch hex are designed for small screws, while the bigger ones for 1/2 inch sockets have no problem with wheel nuts.

Today in August 2020 these very tools are there in Lidl as I speak, they're good for home DIY

I work at Lidl and this time 5 months ago, all of the tools had batteries as standard.

6:16 ohh i dindt had a oil leak on right side lets try unscrew that bolt. Ok good now i will have leak on right side too. Good Job!

i think you have the b2 version grinder, now selling b3, b3 doesnt have quick adjustment on guard and the power switch doesnt move to the right just up/down

just bought the 4 in 1 kit comes with charger and a battery, only the small 1ah/1.5ah type battery but i really want to find one of those grinders!

Ive got a few of their tools and Aldi's too. As you say, they are a great price and perfect for a DIYer. I do have both of these tools shown here and I did try the Impact driver on a wheel rim too and again it didnt like it too much. But,the angle grinder works far better with the bigger 4 Ah battery as would other cordless (20v range) tools from Lidl. Nice vid, as well as your others I watched today. Subbed

Defo get a few battery’s they are cheap battery’s -don’t leave them rundown flat in the winter - you may find they refuse to charge due to dropping below voltage, I’ve had this problem a good few times in dewalt / Makita

years ago i was using a lidl angle grinder(not mine i can''t stand lidl and aldi tools ) and the armature caught fire and shorted the whole house.I use makita,dewalt bosch etc.I don't think these will be last for long i have a vintage black and decker drill from the 1940s still works on daily basis.

I like that the grinder comes with a type 1 guard. Is there also a regular guard included? Also, how much run time do you get out of a battery (grinder) and how much juice is in the batteries? This would be great for throwing in a go bag, but I would normally do 30-40 min of grinding. More than 2 batteries would make my bag heavier than carrying a corded grinder. FInally, There is hardly ever a need to use those grinder wrenches. Just hand tighten the disk and it will usually come loose the same way. Oh... diamond metal cutting disks are awesome, way safer than the fiber disks.

I've just bought the impact driver, charger + bat and another spare bat as well. Good value, debating whether to buy the sabre saw and angle grinder as well although think I'll pass for now. Over in mainland Europe they have more options in this 20v range inc a 400nm impact wrench. Not sure if that will come to the UK. Lots of videos on yt demoing this range.

you will find the 400nm 20v impact wrench is over here in the UK too and is so fairly often - dont look for it in the DIY events though, its mostly seen in the car care events :) - good tool when they do it & dispenses with wheennuts without a problem ( on rather tight nuts though you do have to be careful to use suitable sockets though as the prolongued impacting can really heat up the socket. but you are indeed correct, the europeans do get the better gear in the Professional range of LIDL powertools ( in the uk to my knowledge so far we have only had the Hammer Drill & SDS Drill from this range & both are great bits of kit ) but i look forward to the day when we get the Impact Driver ( as in this vid from the standard range but with a brushless motor & an extra 40nm of grunt ( upto 220nm ) & the impact Wrench with brushless motor as that thing is a beast with over 1300nm of grunt if memory serves

@@martinmorton6276 Having posted this 3 years ago I do now have the standard impact wrench since they started selling it and it's indeed very handy. It does look like they have expanded the range quite a bit although the mainland Europeans still seem to get everything first and often on permanent sale via the Lidl websites that they seem to have no intention of bringing over here 🙁 .. the website that is.

my cordless ryobi+ tools stall also. especially the circular saw. which seems to struggle with cutting anything. i also got the corded parkside jigsaw. vibrates like crazy and is hard to hold. also theres a slit where you hold it and theres a plastic fan spinning inside which can pinch your hand.

circ saws need high capacity batteries, tools stall when they over work the battery, I only use low cap batteries for easy impact work, for grinding I use my 9Ah

That impact driver is alright for 1/4 inch socketeering, and lil screws in cars and stuff, those baby impact drivers won't be any good for anything over 13 mm probably, maybe 15milly at a push, you need to move up to half inch for anything major really. I say that as I use a DeWalt one for that kinda stuff and I can't see parkside being just quite as good, HOWEVER. the price is just too good to ignore and I'm sure they're great value for money, I do have a parkside screwdriver bit set and I use those on the DeWalt, haven't snapped one yet! Thanks for this review mate, I might buy one tomorrow as a backup while they're on at the moment

seems like the guard lock lever would get in the way when the diameter of the cutting wheel gets small. i like to use the wheel to the last bit.

I actually bought the same kit and I done some research on these bad boys. I surprisingly found out that these are made by Bosch for Lidl. Also that the angle grinder originally came with a 4ah battery instead of the 2ah that you and I bought with the charger. (I bought the charger with one and 3 spare batteries so 4 in total for the two machine) the whole thing cost me under £100. It would be an awesome test to check out the performance with the 4ah battery compare to the 2ah. It certainly last longer and I think because it takes the strain better probably would be more powerful in the impact gun. Also in regards of the wheel nuts I tried it on my car with the same result, but to be fair my wheels has been put on by a pneumatic impact gun that is capable for 400Nm that in many occasion is needless. My factory torque on the wheelnuts is a 140Nm (Skoda Superb). This is capable for 180Nm, that should be more than enough (if tyre shops wouldn't over torque them, last time resulting for me a horrible night when I had a puncture and my locking wheelnut didn't want to come off as they stripped the key as well doing it up.)

Kompernass dot com has spare batteries in 2 and 3 Ah ratings and a 3.5A charger for the 3Ah battery as well as the 2.4A charger. Thanks for pointing out the extended battery, I wouldn't have realised, otherwise.

I agree Parkside and Lidl are great value

I work for Lidl, they have some fantastic products! My house is full of it and it's brilliant

That was a Pozi screw... You shouldn't use a Phillips bit on it... On the off chance you don't know, they're not the same thing.

It’s worth informing people that you should use sockets rated for impact use as they can shatter. Also abrasive wheels have an rpm rating and shouldn’t be used on a grinder with a higher rpm.

Seems good u can check for drill bit chunk small I've saw 20$ brass one that fit same drill in so its small max 5-7 mm maybe but fine for that little one u can check it out I might give u link in couple days

That grinder looks like an einhell one I bought from toolstation for £100 and it was absolute shite, kept cutting out trying to cut an exhaust so I took it back. Ended up buying an brushless makita one and drill for £90 and it's absolutely fantastic and it only cuts out when the battery is really low and you're still asking a lot of it

martyfriedman666 this one is naked for £30, the einhell one (which is £85 now) came with everything in the box with a bigger battery, it was also the closest thing and cheapest when I needed it there and then. The plan was buy it, use it, take it back but when I got it out I thought it feels pretty good, if it's good I'll keep it but then I used it and it was deffo going back after the performance. Which is when I got my brushless makita which was not even 6 month old and makita drill together for £90. Only cut out once with a full charge 'cause the ape using it just abuses tools and cuts out when it's really low and not got enough power.

i have some in my kit very affordable and to be honest it will do the job taken the time

I agree tools are not that bad but last year I had the same tools you had last 6months then had to send them back as there was faulty but I think they gone better now

I'd be interested in a "One year later" video, to see how these have held up. Otherwise they seem like a decent purchase for the occasional diy-er.

Parkside has actually surprised me being better than expected. I love shopping for tools at Lidl. The only one I have returned was the drill press. That was not very good. The column was very thin and flexed and the electric box failed almost immediately. But Lidl was nice and just refunded me without discussion.

I bought the impact on sunday and been using it to install 21mm security nuts. Have found that you must use a 6 point socket to have a chance of removing a nut. Result though is its better than the screwfix Chinese erbauer impact i bought with its 90nm. But it does not have the guts to do wheel nuts everyday, and if the repeated depleted batteries do not prove it I will bet within a month the motor will break.

I suggest you to buy some high quality cutting disk they will simplify your work a lot Nice video quality

I find that impact sockets have a higher loosening and tightening effect than standard sockets

Hi just like to say dam good review iv got Parkside tools jigsaw power drill and I'm getting more my work is properly repairs so use them a lot really good tools 👷👷⛏️👍

I shop at Lidl for food and the occasional middle isle stuff but over the years have been disappointed with their tools. I recently bought a vacuum cleaner in a hurry and put it in the skip today, the motor made a noise and started to burn. I have also bought tools from Aldi and they’ve been fine. Generally they’re cheap products and as such have a short life, “for occasional use only”
