Nothing beats a bowl of hot tomato soup while waiting for the pot of water to boil. These dual hotplate hobs are great as an auxiliary when you need to cook multiple things at once. Also great when outdoors where a cooking element is required. Nice review Keith 👍😀

I think this is great 😊👍🏻 and with that type of hob you can switch em off and they stay hot for a while, so you can turn the power off just before food is ready and it will continue to cook it, if you get my drift, great review 👍🏻 I will be getting one thanks Keith for the video ✌🏻♥️

I think the Silverline stuff's all pretty decent quality for what it is- I use their sanders, and just run them until they burn out. I used to work antique fairs and hot plates were a godsend. You'd have people sitting shivering in an old church hall eating sandwiches and us lot making pasta and fry ups 😁

The question is, with the price of gas and electricity, is it any cheaper to use than the electric rings or gas jets on a conventional cooker, or are we just saying it's a good option for camping, if you have the electricity hook up instead of gas canisters.

Hi keith, great video as usual, I've just bought an induction hob,I've found it's cheaper than using the cooker hobs, you do need the proper pans for them though ( magnetic) mine were anyway, just a thought mate with prices like they are...keep up the great work keith👍

Buy an induction hob. So quick to respond just like a gas ring. Halogen and ceramic hobs are slow to respond to temperature change. Love your videos, so down to earth and entertaining.

I left a lengthy comment, on the v-log video, when you bought this, i want to add £20.00, wow bargain, especially with a three year warranty. Great review, thanks. Cooked rice many different ways, never seen the boil in the bag method before?

I bought one year's ago, before 2008, but it's a different make, I used to take it to my sister's place at christmas so she had more rings to cook on. I bought it off one of the shopping channels and I paid £10 for it.

That's the problem with solid hotplates, they're VERY slow to heat up! Portable induction hobs are lightning fast, and the heat is instantly controllable like gas! Mine has touch controls, looks really expensive, and cost around £30.00.

Portable induction hobs are better than solid hotplates. They heat the pan lightning fast (water starts bubbling in seconds), the heat is instantly controllable like gas, they're easy to clean, and they're energy efficient too! Mine has touch controls, looks really expensive, and cost around £30.00. Best cooking method I've ever used! EDIT: Bacon & Eggs ... Eggs are rarer than hen's teeth, thanks to Avian Flu! ... I haven't seen a single egg in my local ALDI for about 7 weeks! ... Eggs are my favourite food! ... I've only got four left in my fridge! ANOTHER EDIT: Soup takes 3 minutes in the microwave. Quicker and more energy efficient! Quarter of an hour to boil a pan is painfully slow!

@@VampireJack10 I'm in Lancaster, and my local ALDI is on Aldcliffe Road. The only eggs I can find are small boxes at big prices! ... I'm thinking of getting a hen! 🤣 ... The problem is that I love eggs! I eat one every day with my breakfast, when I can actually get them! EDIT: Even though I've not seen any eggs in Aldi for almost two months, they limit customers to three boxes ... but I can't even buy one box!
