Licks For Looks!

Licks For Looks! Having some fun and it's called "Show" Business right? I often use these licks on stage to make people happy and in the studio for sound effects. The trick is to make them musical and apply them musically.
I'll have a tutorial and some bonus "Licks For Looks" on my Truefire Channel "The Working Guitarist"
Reason for the small tinny sound is you're hearing my guitar thru a Kemper and then thru my Sony headphones! It's what I call my "headphone amp!"
I'm at work at Cirque Du Soleil's Mystere show.... Imaging what it would sound like thru your rig!!!

I just saw the show for the 3rd time in the last few years ; this time I brought my kids to check it out. I went to the 7pm show last night and we saw you jamming up on the side. Yall leave the poor drummer all alone across the way lol. Are you using the yamaha classical for the nylon portions of the music. It must be cool to work with all those people that basically have to bring their A game all the time.

Thank you Mariano! Yes it's a blast playing with such great players every night, and it keeps me on my toes just trying to hang with them and at the same time hit all the parts and all the patch changes on my rig. I'm using the Yamaha NCX3 nylon string for the "bungee" two song act. The first song is called "Kalimando" and if this show has a hit song that is it- so it's revered and there's a lot of pressure to nail it every night. I think it's the only song in the show that hasn't changed.... For the "Box Act" towards the end of the show I'm playing a Yamaha SLG200S Silent Guitar. It's a steel string and perfect for the show and that act as it doesn't emit any sound. Our audio has total control and I like it specifically for in ear monitor gigs. Mahalo for seeing the show again!!

Forgot to add but the drummer was all alone because our musical director was watching the show and our percussionist was playing drums. Also we had one singer and usually there's two. Normally there's four people on that side of the stage!
