Libya's overflowing migrant prisons | Hotspots

Libya has been the main crossing point from Africa into Europe for tens of thousands of migrants, but many never make it - captured instead by Libyan authorities. Alex Rossi went to Libya's overflowing prisons which are filled with despair.

    That's better, the best option is to not give them any hope of being sent to a European nation, knowing full well that they well never be allowed to stay. It is clear that they are not ever going to be welcome there. It is for the best to not give out false hope. just send them back before they ever get to the other side. At least this will prevent them from dealing with the depression of a false hope that was never meant to be.

    @NEO MPHAHLELE A monetary system that didn't exist in African culture until after Islamic Slavers had their Jews slaves selling Africans back to the African people in some small regions or in other cases where Europeans brought the concept of monetary systems to the majority of African tribes, forming African cities.

    Here in Brazil, a government totally supported by the United States, Israel, the businessmen, the media and evangelicals was elected. I fear that Brazil is on the road to Libya and this Syria. A government totally involved with corruption and with the militia. The world has to wake up. This happens when the United States, England, Israel, and the bankers intervenes in a country, either through guns, or through lies and fake news.

    Can I just ask why the vast majority of these migrants are young single men? Genuine question.

  • @tbrochez2318

    @tbrochez2318

    Paul Currie A good portion of them are likely not single and have a family who they plan to send money back to so they may travel safely to Europe and reunite. As far as reasons they vary wildly I imagine from attempting to escape violence, getting a stable job with a fair wage, ability to freely speak there mind without fear of government reprisal, the list goes on and on.

    In Africa its the Sons responsibility to pay for there mum and dad. The likelihood is the entire family sold everything they own to be able to send there son to get a job and support them in there old age. If they end up in one of these camps they have lost everything, absolutely everything. Libya runs on bribes and even a small amount of cash would set these people free.
