You made me to see Islam in wider and not be fanatic through your seera Lecture and now you come to make me History. Jazak Allah, May Allah bless you More.
We all know that Shaykh Yasir is an expert on Ibn Taymiyyah, so I'd love to hear Shaykh's lectures on Ibn Taymiyyah, his thoughts, the socio-economics and politics of his time and how did it impact his thoughts. I guess that'll be focused towards more academic-oriented audience.
May Allah the Exalted bless you for your sincere efforts you are making for the Ummah even during these situations of hardship and darkness you are currently reeling in.
This is my sheikh. This is my sheikh.this my sheikh. However much criticisms he gets from his opponents. He is my most beloved sheikh alive.

Thank you Sheikh Yasir for this re-account of my country's history, we don't study history properly in Egyptian schools.
Excited to listen to this, I was just listening to Sh Said al Kamali talking about Napoleon in Egypt, it’s amazing how much French law is based on Maliki fiqh!

Minor correction.. The Ottomans established a Muslim printing press (with a firman declaring it legal). Was established by Ibrahim Muteferrika in 1727 some 50 to 60 years before the invasion of Egypt. But the point still stands theres a massive 250 year gap between print in europe and the Muslim lands

Very profound closing statement with Hadith of prophet ﷺ May Allah SWT protect our eman!
Throw away your Netflix subscription ! :) Cheikh is doing great stuff with these contents since the beginning of this series
Everytime Shaykh does a historical analysis, it depresses me to no extent. However, that amazing jacket makes it a bit better.

Seems like Napoleon like to step on the same rake, as while French invasion of Russian Empire he did the same mistake with the outfit of his army in the local nature environment. Thank you dear Yasir for finding the time and sharing the history with us. With love from Uzbekistan.
May Allah bless you. Thank you for your lectures. Please keep the library chats coming, i love history and I am interested in the point of view of Muslim. May Allah keep all Texans safe and warm.

Masha Allah, jazhkallahu khairan. Take home from this lecture is,most times the crack in the wall gives the lizards the chance to get inside the house 🏠. All these are continuing in repeated patterns always, we have problems we face collectively as an Ummah but we fight eachother for superiority of opinion. Peace only comes to mind knowing that this world is nothing but a lie.
Bless you brother. I look forward to listing to all your other videos. I learned so much from you. So true history is repeated again and again. May Allah SWT guide us all for our betterment.
"There was a muslim group, which supported Napoleon and his people" Goose bumps 🙊 👌
What the French did (physically) to Al-Azhar is no where near the damage of what the British have done to it (psychologically)...Subhanallah. Cairo used to be the capital of Islamic knowledge after Baghdad. Now, after Cairo, it seems Istanbul is becoming more and more of the Islamic capital of knowledge. Damascus, Fez, and Amman are also great places or were during the 20th century.

I am reading a book " pakistan a hard country" by anatol lieven...its really good..recommend you read it if you want to knoww about pakistan...btw I am from pakistan living here...lol
This is very enlightening and very heartbreaking/uncomfortable talk, but it needs to be had. Do you think one of the reasons is injustice and oppression done by a power on the people creates dissent and resentment and this allows for other foreign invaders to exploit the people. Also injustice and oppression keeps the people weak and therefore unprepared for the discipline and technology of the French army.
Absolutely unadulterated amazingly insightful commentary
The camera quality looks so good MashaAllah Allahumabarik

I love these historical episodes. If we don't learn our history by Muslims, we'll be forced to learn from non-Muslims. not that we can't learn from non-Muslims, but there is a higher chance of anti-Islam bias.
Great chat and not forgetting the amazing insights and contribution to this story by the great Somali Egyptian scholar and historian Al Jabarti who witnessed the events that ushered the modern world into the world of Islam
