Liathach Ridge Traverse ⛰️ the best ridge traverse in Scotland!!

My first ridge traverse! And of course, in the dramatic fashion that is Me, I decided to make a film about it.
Visiting the highlands was breathtaking, and I feel so fortunate to have so many laughs, memories, and vistas captured on film (and now eternalized forever on KZread) 💕
I really do hope you enjoy, I spent a lot of time and love on it, and so did Ez who helped me with all the after effects (new skills! whoop whoop!). This one is for my mama, a 5'1" (Anita soy 5'2"!!) Mexican woman who "left her heart in Scotland;" hope you can vicariously re-live some Scotland moments through this film :)
If you do like the film, consider liking/commenting/sharing/subscribing/getting inspired/ hiking a mountain/whatever else it is that you do when you like an adventure film (lol)
My current goal is to make a video a week, but seeing as I am a perfectionist and my "quick films" end up as 16.5 minute epics... we'll see how it all goes! I'm gonna stop posting at a regular day/time and just start posting during a random day per week, so I hope you enjoy the sporadic new lifestyle I'm embarking on (realized when I'm not pushing for a specific day, films end up a bit better)
Aaaaaand finally, if you do want to support my filmmaking and adventures, because for obvious reasons (all you have to do is look at the view counts 😂) I don't make much off these films, this is the link for my Patreon page:
/ annahazelnutt
Any support really helps me continue doing what I love: adventuring, climbing, trying new things, meeting new people, facing my fears, and making films about it all! I have more about my journey and goals on my Patreon bio if you are interested :)
Anyways, 'till next week!

I did not intend to do the Am Fasarinen Pinnacles, but the path around them was terrifyingly exposed and badly eroded, so I tackled them. Very scary but absolutely wonderful. I'm glad I did.

Good Grief!! That was just amazing, I can't believe I actually did exactly that route about 25 years ago and I didn't have a camera with me so this brings back so many (painful) memories. It certainly was the most challenging walk/climb I have ever done. Luckily it was a perfectly calm and.clear day, I can imagine what it would be like on a stormy day. Thank you for sharing.

Definitely agree, lovely part of the world, Liathach is one of my favourite (although Beinn Eighe in winter, particularly if you go via the Triple butress coire, is also pretty spectacular). I also remember Liathach being surprisingly tough for such a short route.

That looked amazing, especially the pinnacles. I did that traverse a couple of years ago, but unfortunately the weather was overcast and wet, so we had to bypass the pinnacles. I'll be back to climb them on a nice day. Torridon is one of my favourite areas. I hope you do more films there.

We did get sooo darn lucky with the weather! That bypass path actually looked scarier at some points too, I'm sure it's because it was a sunny day and sometimes I feel like I'm more comfortable climbing than walking but still! 😂 Hope to be back soon

Thanks for the video. It is is pronounced semi gutterally, Lee yach. There are much harder ridges, like Aonach Eagach, Cuillin and part of An Teallach. You were lucky with the weather, the biggest killers on Scottish mountains are mist, high wind, snow and avalanches
