Damn! The beauty of this song is so raw that it breaks my heart. It's PAINFUL. I can't handle it. Yet, somehow, the only thing that can comfort me and ease my pain - is listening to it again. And again. And again.

Did the world get a little bit colder Not wiser just a little bit older So slow that we're bound to fall over, oh Did the heart grow a little bit harder Too much, too late, too far, too gone But wasn't it kind of wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, wonderful You can trip, flick a switch negative Break the circuit between us But electricity lingers In our fingers Oh you can burn every fuse and refuse Turn your positive minus Electricity lingers In our fingers From here there's nothing but horizon Near dawn, I'm searching for the sunrise Remember when you put the stars into my eyes, oh Wasn't it kind of wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, wonderful You can trip, flick a switch negative Break the circuit between us But electricity lingers In our fingers Oh you can burn every fuse and refuse Turn your positive minus Electricity lingers In our fingers Wasn't it kind of wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, wonderf

i've got a slightly different point of view, although i don't think it contradicts what you're so honestly saying. i think none of them treated each other very well, and that it became too late to keep trying. he is leaving her, thinking that it is "wise" to do it ("i've got to get on with my life, baby", etc.), and i think that, in some sense, she is ok with. however, she doesn't think it is matter of wisdom but of coldness, not a matter of being growing up but of getting older and colder. she can't help it though, and she understands. and now she's just reminding him that is was, some times, maybe not always, but eternally, wonderful. i think they are both right.

4 full minutes of pure magic. It's really hard to find such a perfect live piece, where everything is in its place, where everything is simple yet wonderful. Lianne interprets this piece with a great pain in her soul: the pain of an ecstasy (perhaps) lost, and of which (perhaps) it was not realized, while it was lived. Something that we have tried in many, and that affects our hearts. Sublime. (but only for chosen souls).

Yesterday in Rainy Lille (N. France), at the Aéronef concert hall, 400 incredibly lucky people including me watched Lianne play her entire set live and it was simply WONDERFUL. Her voice in real life is clear and extremely powerful, but never overpowering. Some new innovations in the Green & Gold with micro pauses to funk it all up. BTW I bought the album of Roseau the opening act. Another "talent" that Lianne has to warm the stage. If Lianne played 10 x in town (Paris) I would show up to all 10 ! Yes, I'm hooked on her music, her quality rhythms and lyrics. Bossa nova, soul, funk, Jamaican, a bag full of goodness. Thank you for giving it 100%, it was worth the trip Paris-Lille-Paris, the hotel, the rain & wind up those metal stairs (if you went you would understand). Merci

Lyrics Did the world get a little bit colder Not wiser just a little bit older So slow that we're bound to fall over, oh Did the heart grow a little bit harder Too much, too late, too far, too gone But wasn't it kind of wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, wonderful You can trip, flick a switch negative Break the circuit between us But electricity lingers In our fingers Oh you can burn every fuse and refuse Turn your positive minus Electricity lingers In our fingers From here theres nothing but horizon Near dawn, I'm searching for the sunrise Remember when you put the stars into my eyes, oh Wasn't it kind of wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, wonderful You can trip, flick a switch negative Break the circuit between us But electricity lingers In our fingers Oh you can burn every fuse and refuse Turn your positive minus Electricity lingers In our fingers Wasn't it kind of wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful Wasn't it kind of wonderful, baby Wasn't it kind of wonderful, wonderful Written by Ronald Anthony Lawrence, Aleese Simmons, Phillip Anthony White, Katrina Celeste Willis • Copyright © Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC, Warner/Chappell Music, Inc, Universal Music Publishing Group, The Bicycle Music Company

What an impossibly smooth, tender and aching vocal. Makes this song soar!

This is a beautiful song. Her voice, the words, the guitar, the piano...I hear a strong influence of Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence". I couldn't find the song's credits to see if he was mentioned.

My eyes got teary. The soothingness of her voice and diction plus this arrangement are amazing. It reminds me of Emeli Sande in terms of quality, although they have slightly different styles. I love both of them.

I don't usually comment on youtube videos but,,words fail to describe this song, from the chord progression to her tonality and lyrics, this song takes you to a place where True Love truly exists
