Totally agree. This team controls the tempo of the game. They r comfortable playing at this rithm. If u wanna have a chance agaist CH u have to slow down and play much fewer possessions. Their defense works for 12 seconds, after that they struggle facing a good passing offensive style.

Forgot which team but, there was this one team (played CH) that people called 'shook' because they wouldn't shoot unless it was right at the rim. Team had the right idea but didn't have the talent to challenge

Everyone doubt Gelo but time and time again he puts up these numbers. Even with this playing style, very few high school players in the country would be able to replicate his performances. He consistently knocks down deep contested 3s, and doesn't need to cherry pick to score. Great attitude by him to ignore the haters and keep playing his game.

The reason this crowd is so hype is because of the history against chino hills .. 2015 chino hills lost 3 games, two against Damien in OT and against mater dei in the state final.. it's just as hyped up at chino hills than it is at Damien 👍🏼

That #11 deserves more attention tbh. He is able to defend really well and can knock down open shots. He's a very good role player.

the coaching for the opposing team is aweful. if you just slow the game down and play half court you'd be able to best these guys

No. Damien had the advantage on every fast break. Why would you slow it down when you're like 5 on 3 every offensive possession? You'd rather play 5 on 5? Damien is 49th in the nation and Chino made them look silly.

And how do you plan on scoring against them 5 on 5 when you can't even score against them 5 on 3? If you slow it down both teams will score less, but you'll score much less than Chino will when they're slowed down.

Not going to comment on LiAngelo's game outside the paint...but he's got 1 move on the blocks. And yes, teams have figured it out. BUT, he's still a match-up problem 1-on-1 because of his size. He doesn't have a lot of touch inside, but when you've got the green light 1-on-1 underneath on a cherry pick, even shooting 40-50% means he can average 28-32 easy. He also doesn't mind getting swatted 6-8 times a game from helpside D, which is (a) admirable and (b) going to be funny later to watch when college defenses frustrate him.
