@@daveygabc he sings with a lot more power and rasp this year compared to any other previous year in his solo career. Seems he's found a technique now that fits a good tone with also being able to keep his voice in check which is why he had to previously stop singing like that

He's a legend, but Oasis in their prime, 20 something years ago, Liam was amazing. You're commenting on a non Liam led song as well so....

Impressed with that at his age. It stays consistently high in his register for a long time, that tune.

​​​@@felina7849 Noel's stated multiple times that at this particular point in time he didn't own a capo, so by that logic this was always how Noel intended it to sound. The no capo thing checks out as well as if you look at early live performances, you never ever see one being used. It was only in the later days of Oasis that Noel started using a capo to make the chord shapes of Rock 'n' Roll Star easier to play, for example, even though he never changed the key. These days he plays Half The World Away with a capo on the second fret because of personal preferences I guess, but this always was and always will be the original key

Had the best day ever seeing them live in 2005 as a 13 year old kid. It was at Newcastle Metro radio arena and we had seated tickets and i blagged my way through security and all the geordie lads put me on their shoulders. Im now 31 and safe to say ive been to a fair few gigs by now but that was very memorable for me. Time flies, enjoy the ride 🙏

Tried to get tickets for Glasgow at the time and was in a queue of thousands on ticketmaster. Saw the price of the tickets and wasn't arsed. Now I'm gutted - the whole setup and set list is incredible. Hats off to Liam for giving the fans what they deserve.

even though Noel was the songwriter for Oasis, he now has a solo career- Liam is keeping Oasis’ music alive

I was also at that Glasgow gig! First ever gig,14 years old, travelled up from jersey so was devastated when they walked off

Finally, a big thank you for Noel calling it quits! Otherwise we would never get these album tours and for Liam to sing Noel’s songs. As shattered as I was in 2009. This is amazing and I am sad we will never get this tour in Australia.

Thanks so much for uploading this, I decided I wasn't getting my phone out for any videos, just wanted to live in the moment and relive my younger crazier days. He was incredible, seen Oasis a dozen times and his voice on Monday was right up there with any of those early gigs. I wasn't sure Liam singing this would work but fuck how wrong was I haha. Quite an emotional moment for me actually for a few reasons. Absolutely smashed rkid.

He was signalling to the monitor engineer to turn the strings down in his monitor, he had the same issue at the Sheffield gig. He missed the same line at Sheffield too, but I think that's maybe just the way he sings it.
