Liam Gallagher about the song Little James: 'I Wrote That Song in 3 Minutes' | Interview | TMF
Музыка
Oasis was an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Originally known as the Rain, the band consisted of Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. Liam's older brother, Noel Gallagher, later joined as a fifth member, completing the core lineup. Over the years, Oasis experienced several lineup changes, but the Gallagher brothers remained the mainstay of the band.
In 1993, Oasis signed with Creation Records and released their debut album, "Definitely Maybe," in 1994. The album quickly became a massive success and set a record as the fastest-selling debut album in British history at the time. The following year, they released their second album, "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?," which propelled them to international stardom. It spent ten weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart, became one of the best-selling albums of all time, and solidified Oasis as one of the biggest bands of the 1990s.
Despite their musical success, Oasis frequently made headlines for the turbulent relationship between the Gallagher brothers and their wild lifestyles. In 1996, the band performed two landmark concerts at Knebworth, attracting an audience of 125,000 people each night, marking the largest outdoor concerts in UK history at the time. The band continued to achieve commercial success with the release of their third album, "Be Here Now," in 1997, which became the fastest-selling album in UK chart history.
However, as the years went on, Oasis faced declining popularity. McGuigan and Arthurs left the band in 1999, and Oasis released "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants" in 2000 with new members Gem Archer and Andy Bell. Oasis underwent further lineup changes, with drummer Alan White being replaced by Zak Starkey and later Chris Sharrock as touring members. They released three more studio albums, "Heathen Chemistry" (2002), "Don't Believe the Truth" (2005), and "Dig Out Your Soul" (2008).
The band's existence came to an abrupt end in August 2009 when Noel Gallagher announced his departure from Oasis. Despite their breakup, Oasis left an enduring legacy. As of 2023, they have sold 75 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful acts in UK chart history. They achieved numerous UK number-one singles and albums, along with platinum albums in the US. Oasis received multiple awards, including Brit Awards, NME Awards, Q Awards, and MTV Europe Music Awards. Their album "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" was honored as the "Best Album of the Last 30 Years" at the Brit Awards in 2010.
Oasis' music continues to resonate with fans, and their impact on the British rock scene remains significant. They are remembered as one of the defining bands of the Britpop era, characterized by their anthemic sound, memorable melodies, and the distinctive Gallagher brothers' dynamic.

Noel has alot of respect for Liam as a songwriter, it’s cool to see him express that in this interview.

Any good frontman feels like that, they're almost unreal
Liam is the man!🤙🤟
Without Liam's voice , Oasis would have been nothing
It sounds like he wrote it in 3 minutes as well tbh.

@@DiRtYLaWs2007better than anything you and I could write We sailed out to sea Your mum you and me You swam the oceans like a child Life around us was so wild Thank you for your smile, you make it all worthwhile to us Brilliant, sentimental. You have no clue what you're talking about.

@@thedappercook Live for your toys Even though they make noise Have you ever played with plasticine Even tried a trampoline I rest my case.
For me oasis lost something when bonehead and guigsy left in there sound...you can over complicate things and it lose what was good about it to begin with ..same with tony on drums...they all added to those early songs in a way where the later stuff just dont have the same vibe for me... the first 3 albums n the b side alhum are great ...the rest is a all abit of the same...bits n bobs are ok but are just the same song re structured....noels solo stuff is a classic example of it as well...just the same idea shaped a bit differently and not as catchy in my eyes ..but early stuff..ya cant beat it

Just the most class explanation and what I think aswell . First 3 albums superb then just a repetition of later albums with some preferable good ones .
Just got a flashback from the live album of the crowd singing "Who the f*** is? Who the f*** is? Who the f*** is Andy Bell? Who the f*** is Andy Bell?........" Good times they were 😊
Elvis would probably snort Liam 😅😅😅
You live for your toys, even though they make noise... yeah you can tell.

The lyrics are a bit like Syd Barrett with some emotion attached.
3 minutes? You can tell. Took you a bit long really
oasis is coming back all these videos , legend
Liam had a great Rock voice in the 90’s but he is a bit of an air head on interviews lol
Noel deserved an Oscar for the way he used to explain higher meanings to his songs😂 Look at the pauses he makes The ponderous look The carefully considered wording For GO LET IT OUT ! 😂😂😂😂 Christ almighty you’d think he was taking about a Dylan track 😂

Give it a rest. He didn't say that much about it. Just a little meaning. Nowt wrong with that.
As a fan,... At least hes honest, 3 minutes and it shows, terrible song
Liam talks some nonsense. Always has, always will
It's a very forgettable song .
Despite the obvious sweet tribute to your son, it was an awful song Liam
As Oasis songs go Little James is the only one that's worse than Wonderwall
THE worst oasis song.
as a manc not much respect for the pair ,,,dont help that they are blues..... but both a million times better than elvis
Sounds like he wrote it in 60 seconds. Absolute garbage. How Noel allowed it I’ve no idea
Standing on the Shoulder of Giants really was an awful album. A band whose confidence was shot to pieces.
Awfull
