Oh my god. I'm probably one of your younger set of viewers, so I rarely see something I'm genuinely nostalgic for on this channel... But as someone who obsessively played freeware in mid-2000s, I loved this game! Thank you so much for covering it!

I LOVED Free Lunch Design. I played the crap out of a lot of his games back in the day. Happyland, Operation Spacehog, Alex the Alligator, and Hellcarrier were my favorites.

LGR thank you. I completely forgot about this game, I used to play this so much as a kid. I'm glad you've bought this back into my life. It makes me feel even older even though i'm only turning 21 in January. Gotta play this again.

i forgot about this game! i spent SO many hours playing happyland, i remember having scraps of paper on my desk where i wrote down all the passwords as i passed each level. oh god, 2000...i was 12/13 years old. this was an awesome trip down memory lane, thank you!

This game had a pretty good level editor. I used to make huge, sprawling levels with lots of secrets. My friends would play this game in school. I miss it!

I just finished binge watching every single LGR Christmas review. On January 2nd. Whatever, it's LGR!

If so many people have played Happyland Adventures, I'm surprised that there's no community around it with newer versions and improvements, level packs and so on. Also, makes me wonder what the author is doing nowdays...

It was one of the few games I played on my dad's PC after the divorce but before I moved in another town, and practically never sow him again. I remembered this game, but never found it's name. Thank you for opportunity to play it once again!

I miss these types of videos, seems like less channels are doing christmas types of videos like this nowadays

Oh wow, I have so much nostalgia for that sprite set! Never knew it was called SpriteLib though. It was the default sprite set used in a GameMaker-like program I used as a kid, called Game Editor.

I remember this game. I played it years and years ago when I was in my teens. I loved it because it wasn't based around death and destruction.

My sister downloaded this alongside Icy Tower on our old XP after she and i played it on our school computers. The theme song is SUPER catchy and i had it stuck in my head even after i had nearly forgotten the game completely. I actually found out about it again thanks to redownloading Icy Tower on my windows 7 laptop and seeing it with the other free lunch games! Never played the X-Mas edition much, but this video brings back good memories!

Wow! I played this when I was a kid who mostly got to play shareware games (damn how I wanted a gamecube back then), this brings back so many special memories. Thank you for bringing up these things which otherwise I'd never get to remember, and keep up the spectacular work in 2018!

That same sampled music was used in MOTAS (Matter Of Time And Space), one of the first internet room escape games.

LGR videos keep making me rediscovered games I played and remember playing years ago, but whose name I forgot.

My favorite free christmas game is christmas bound. It just mixes thinking and reflexes with some cozy christmas tunes and a light plot :D

I remember back in 2000 when I used to babysit my toddler nephew, I sat him in front of the PC and had him play this

That is some glorious use of the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. Undesirable as some find it these days, it's a nostalgic sound for me along with Sound Blaster opl3 music.

Me being from 2000, this game was a staple in computer class in my school circa 2008. Most computers had Windows XP on them and this and Icy Tower was on pretty much every one. I even remember printing sheets of level passwords for my friends because I was the only one with a printer.

This intro theme song gives me strong waves of nostalgia for some reason and makes me want to play the original Deus Ex.

I remember when I played that game as a kid on my old Windows 98 without a sound card. Good times.

we downloaded this game onto our school computers in elementary school. Nowadays I don't know anyone who heard of this game.

Ah yes I remember getting this when I was younger, I believe I got it off of CNET's Download website. I just played a small bit of the non holiday themed version, but this game definitely has some charm to it and outstanding work done by a single developer.

Just wanted to point out it's summer in the Southern Hemisphere when it's winter in the Northern Hemisphere, so a summery Christmas isn't that wrong :P
