Believe it or not, but you can actually find the soundtrack to this game on Bandcamp. The band that did most of the music in the game is a terrible garage rock band called pferd. They actually refer to themselves as "comedy" music, but I consider it "Oh my God! Why did I have to search for this shit to see if it actually existed!? I wish I was dead!" music.

I must say, looking at it, skateboard physics must be quite a complex thing to pull off in a game, the way they use inertia to defy gravity briefly to achieve tricks. It must take some very clever programming. But this is terrible, they can't even get the proportions right, look at how huge the stairs and benches are compared to your character. Speaking of which, I've got a unfinished press copy of the original Tony Hawk's somewhere, literally unfinished, like some levels are only half complete, so you'd suddenly fall off into the abyss. 'll have to dig it out and do a video on it someday.

I think I used to own Extreme Paint Brawl. The game was impossible to play. The texture graphics and frame rate glitched up so much, it was bound to give someone a seizure.

(Tony Hawk’s Extreme Boards and Blades) A little late to the party on this one...I chuckled when I noticed the lanky gentleman half out of frame (and focus for that matter) is Tony Hawk. A picture of the Birdman mid varial-flip with the Activision logo plastered next to him had me at THPS before I realized this isn’t that. I feel like the very image they cut him out of is used on one of the real tony hawk pro skater box arts somewhere...that could just be how synonyms Hawk and Activision have become to me.

Man. I remember my grandma buying me this game at KB Toys when I was a child. I was so excited to visit her once a weekend because she would buy me some cheap PC video game to play on her cheap PC. This was one of the games, along with Total Annihilation. It's nice to load these games up time to time to take a trip back. I miss and love you grandma.

Clint, you found the holy grail of pure crabness. Maybe you beat AVGN's Big Rigs with this Satan's creation. AND THERE IS A SEQUEL?!? WFT?!? Why, Jesus, why? (But show it, please) ;-)

I unfortunately had to experience the horror of this game during christmas day... Some of my family must have been playing a prank on me. To make it worse, it was a double pack with this and Extreme paintbrawl. Christmas is forever scarred! :'(. One interesting thing to note was my version didn't have the Mountain Dew sponsorship, though it might be because mine was a UK copy?

Not gonna lie, The Melvins with Les Claypool tweaking on meth covering Anthrax is something I am definitely interested in seeing happen.

I misread the "Exclusively Fueled by PowerBar" as "Exclusively Fucked by PowerBar", which had me relieved at first, as I hope no-one would intercourse with this game in fear of new undiscovered super-STDs.

"Oh my word, what happened to your head" Made me bust a gut a few times over, terrific work.

I can think of one redeeming feature of this game, and that is without it we would never have got this review. You are a funny guy Clint, have you ever done any stand up or script writing, as you have a real gift, some of your analogies are great.

Fun Fact: this game came out on my fifth birthday. That year I got a PS1 game called "street sk8er" (yes the 8 is suppose to be there). It was a simple skating game with some ska tunes in the soundtrack. While one could easily argue the game aged poorly, you can at least still have a little fun with it today....more so than this game, which you could never have fun with.

Clint, I've watched many of your reviews, and I have to say... I don't think I've ever heard you just unleash so much hate on a game. Normally you at least give even a tiny bit of credit for something, but this. Wow. I didn't know you had it in you!

Christmas 2000 I asked for Tony hawk's pro skater 2 and got this. Needless to say I wasn't a happy 9 year old.

Easily one of the best reviews to date imo. Big Rigs deserves a full review as well I believe....

Well in here at least collision detection works, sometimes, unlike Big Rigs

Its not meant to be played on newer computers either. On a slower computer this game was actually pretty sick.

Tony Hawk vet here. Looks to me like Activision probably got PAID to have their logo on this; I wouldn't sponsor it if my life depended on it. No way. "They made a SEQUEL!? WHAT the FUCK!?" lmfao

I saw that, what a joke. IGN gave it a 1.5/10 I think, which is pretty spot-on.

Les Claypool and The Melvins getting together and covering Anthrax songs while tweaking on meth would probably end up with a better soundtrack. Les Claypool actually has a background in thrash metal. It's not very well known that he played bass in a thrash band called Dark Angel before starting Primus.

I remember buying this game and popping it into my computer. I gave up after the first 10 minutes when the controls began to piss me off. xD Terrible times the 90's were at times.

I had this game. It came free with something or there was some promotional incentive behind it. Maybe it was $5 with a Mountain Dew UPC or something along those lines. I swear there was no way I or my parents bought this game for $25.

You fucking have to review Extreme Boards & Blades 2 now. Also, you know you've got a problem when your game's physics engine makes Big Rigs look like fucking Havok. I als noticed that, befitting the game, Silverfish decided to have their name written in MS Comic Sans on the credits screen.
