We are spending the weekend camping on Hawai'i Island with one of LGF's Hall of Famers: Chad Kosinski. All the fishing toys are coming out on this trip!
The drill is a familiar one. Big gear is deployed in hopes of having a tug of war with a Giant Trevally (Ulua). And fishing with a "sail" is also on the list of angling disciplines we'll be exercising.
This is par for the course. Chad succeeds at everything he does. Giant Trevally (Ulua) and Gray Snapper (Uku) take the bait and are landed on the "sail" rig.
Then a Blue Trevally (Omilu) hooks up on Chad's Ulua rod. But it was this fish's lucky day. It was the one that got away....
