Awesome just happened to my machine this morning and I thought bearings or motor but motor works then I opened the door and holy smoke came out and I had plastic parts in my filter as well.

Ours needed one “shock absorber” replaced (less than $30 part). My husband and I fixed it together. Our machine is 12 years old and this is the first time it needed a part.

Mine did the same i opend it because i was told it was a damper. I could hear a noise that wasnt the damper so i thought is was the beearing. It turned out it wasnt the bearings. It was the rear flange. Or spider. 2 of the 3 arms where broken and that caused the drum to be unbalabced. That was causing the drum to rub againts the tub and the seal and it was smoking. I found alot of shavings in the filter from the tub. The flange cost 60 at sears but you have to take the whole thing apart

That’s so crazy 2 weeks ago my started to do the same thing . Wonder if this I covered by warranty ...

What did you do about this? I had the same thing happen to me last night! I'm thinking that this is the beginning of the end of my unit, but am still holding out hope.

replace the spider arm!

What did it cost to fix? We have the same exact problem right now and want to know if we should just buy new

Angela Collier its an inexpensive part to replace but the labor on getting it done will get you. Unless you're mechanically inclined or have some one who is. I have same problem happen to me. Its the rear bearings that need replacement. Cost under $50 but a long process to replace. For what the set cost i thought this machines would last longer than 6 yrs.

My Samsung front load came out of its place because I put too much pillows and ended up with the rubber damaged because the weight sensor was damaged
