This checks out. I used a Dime, a small strip of double sided tape. (Scotch brand, thin) and some aluminum foil. I wrapped the foil around the dime. Stuck the tape over the power button, and tested. boom. Great Video! Thank you so much for the video.

How did you get the electronic box off off the panel tho!

After talking to an LG tech, this will probably work on the dryer with similar soft touch power button.

Also, if your LG appliances are smart, use that feature. It will allow you to bypass the buttons on the panel in case the buttons ever stop working.

The springs are piezoelectric switches. They sense your finger when you touch the button face. If there is poor conductivity between the spring and the button face, it won't be able to sense your finger.
