The audio quality from the ZV-1 is much better in terms of richness of sound. The external mic in this case is good in the sense that it picks up all the sounds like breathing, background rustling sounds etc. In this case, will prefer ZV-1's over this external mic in product showcase.

I love LG phone

I’m quite shocked, that’s pretty damn cool, loved the way you took a photo and it appeared on the second screen whilst the main screen was ready to shoot again. Look forward to your review of this and how much it’ll cost. The second screen case should be a peripheral many other phones should offer imo maybe build a battery into it too.

I used to be a huge fan of LG phones, starting from LG G3, they push all the right innovations. From using large screen, to infrared sensor for autofocus, curved screen and leather backing on G4, modularity on G5 (and LCD always on display!), but then things stagnated afterwards. I'm glad they're coming up with the Velvet series, seems like they chose the right market since no way they can fight in equal ground with the big brands... Heck, they can't even fight Vivo today.

They were innovative till G6 too, I think maybe you didn't buy it. G6 was the first phone to have 18:9 aspect ratio, tall screen. It was later followed by others. The design and narrow bezels make it a stunning sight to see. Yes, after that the sort of slumped, like G7 with the hand gestures, was innovative but half-baked for the most part.

I TOTALLY AGREE bro but their phones were plagued with bootloop, screen retention and more. If the Velvet got bootloop, screen retention, locked bootloader...etc I would NOT be surprised. The Android Root Community HATES LG, I despise LG. I used to love that company so much but they are dead to me and I won't even buy a LG TV, nothing from LG. I went to OnePlus at 3T and have every phone of there's and never looked back. Sony, Samsung and OnePlus has my ❤️❤️✨

@@harrytruman8447 That is when their phones started to get better but don't matter...LG RUINED their image of their Smartphone segment. EVERYONE knows LG phones are SHIT. Bootloop, screen retention, locked bootloader fuse burn and more. Hundreds of thousands of phones from G1/G Pro all the way to G7/V40....lots of problem, they never recalled their phones, always abandoned their customers inside and outside of Court. Seems like YOU don't know much about LG, Son.

Great elaborating on the DualScreen case! @ 1:41 you mention "I assume this still has the audiophile QuadDAC", without later correcting that. Because it does not, at least not the Korean version (based on what is in the manual). Since you own Quad DAC LG devices, are you going to pay special attention to the quality of the DAC and amp in your review? E.g. try using some high impedance headphones and compare with the G8X? BTW, since you are familiar with earlier LG flagships, can you test if there is HDMI output over USB-C? So USB 3.0 speeds? The V60 and G8X both support this (everything since the V20 and G6, actually) and I have not seen any information about this feature yet for the Velvet. One would assume that any LG phone that has the (USB-C connected) DualScreen case can also support wired HDMI output, but I have also read that the DualScreen case exchanges data wirelessly with the phone using a proprietary close-distance wireless protocol. So if that is the case the USB is only used to power the screens in the DualScreen case.

Watching from Kentucky; appreciate the Breonna Taylor shout out. This is a great preview, can't wait to see the full review!

Looks promising. My only knock on LG is their software updates. They're usually one of the last to push out a major update and I hated that when I had the LG G7 ThinQ. Great phone, but the software updates took too long to arrive

Loving the dual screen, i have the LG G8X & love using wide screen option/ use one app across both screens. There is a app that lets you make any app go into wide screen mode its called wide mode for LG on the google play store. Good video by the way.

I hope there will be an LG Velvet 2 with Dual-Screen cover support, because I cannot buy the LG Velvet and the Dual Screen cover now, due to: 1. My savings is still low. 2. I'm still in quarantine lockdown. 3. To early to buy a new phone.

This is like holding two seperate phones in your hands. I like the way samsung is going with it's folding phone technology.

Great innovation

I have the V60 with the dual screen. But I would buy another dual screen accessory just to have this white for the V60. I like this MUCH better. It not only looks better, it doesn't have that entire side glass front on the external notification panel. So there's a lot less area to scratch and get fingerprints

I really wish the V60's dual screen accessory was designed in similar fashion.

Nice to see a Hong Kong gadget reviewer who is also a fan of the LG dual screen. Hope you're also healthy and safe! I'm still wondering whether to use the Velvet as a G6 replacement, and currently slightly prefers waiting to see how its successor would be as the Velvet doesn't have Quad DAC and better resolution-framerate set than the G6 (though 4K30p could still be somehow OK for me)

Great preview love the style no camera bump and headphone jack and dual screen miss the real back fingerprint scanner miss the quad dac and 865 chip though and it needs a better wide angle and optical image stabilization..
