Now lg makes perfect and fully practical device.

LG is looking great again. Many of my older LGs suffered from the dreaded boot loop. After baking the main boards in the oven many came back to life. The V20 still going strong. My last devices have been the Samsung Notes. Not getting the Note 10 Plus this year because no 3.5. LG kills it with the Quad DAC. This device may be my next one to get. Great review as always.

@@BigVar215 I have a 10000 MAH removable battery case on my LG V20 when i need three or so days of juice, and it goes from zero to 100 in 15 seconds, not to mention the IR blaster for controlling my tv and other devices. When I do not need the extra juice I just use the slim regular back, with an extra battery ready in my wallet, no fast charger, or wireless charging needed.

Actually saw one of these in the wild today. Guy sitting next to me on a Southwest flight had one complete with second screen. I don't know who was more surprised: me at seeing one, or he at hearing me ask "Is that the new LG g8x?"

I think it's brilliant I think it's more convenient than having a full folding phone you don't have to deal with bulkier device as such plus when you want a normal phone experience just pop it out of its case. I think LG smash it out the park with this set up.

Dual Screen > Foldable Screen.

I prefer the dual screen over a foldable. I am sommelier and I primarily buy for importers. The second screen would enable me to look at my facts and figures while having a discussion with the buyer.

this is so peculiar. seems so very well thought out.

This is good and practical. Anyone can benefit for some more screen realty. Was not feeling the strange hand movement effects on the g8 but if this case comes in the box I would be interested in upgrading from my beloved lg g7.

I like the look of the LG mobile... just can't get one till next year... got to finish my contract... only 6 months left though

I've been an LG fan since 2014 and a user of their smart phone and no doubt i love Lg but this year i tried to use samsung for the first time the note 10 plus, its good and i like the note 10 plus but lg g8x is the kind of smart phone that im waiting for.. uh too soon for note 10 plus and too late for lg8x... maybe after my contract ends with my current network i will get the Lg again... quaddack, front facing cam, battery everything improves in this one.. nice video joshua Vergara. thank you for your unbiased reviews GODspeed

LG is so innovate and underated . They are not afraid to try new things and are the first t to come out with some very cool features and get zero recognition for it. If apple were to introduce the same features they would be considered a technological marvel and you wouldn't hear the end of how great they are . Hats off to LG !

It might sound stupid but the fact that the dual screen also acts as a stand makes this perfect especially when the football is on !

Just saying in the foldable phone market this far, LG is winning. I think more companies need to invest in some cases like this for flagships. Great video!!!

I have had the phone for 4 months and battery used to be an issue and now it isn't! Even with 2 screens running i get a much longer work/play day. I am satisfied and got the the phone at a great price point so its all good. The camera is better than my Note 9 easily. I love the Quad dac. Music is still an important factor to me. Also AMSR recording in nature is pretty cool.

Something you didn't show is that THIS time, they actually added a tablet mode. Hey, sure it's got a huge bezel in the middle--but its still functional!

I think it is rather unique and practical. The hinge keeping angles we desire in place is actually way more desirable than we realise.

Samsung Dex with a dual configuration screen like this could be very useful because now you can have a decent size keyboard and mouse once connecting to a screen.

I remember that ZTE, it is still one of my favourite smartphone of all time.

Yes, it does not look as fancy as that actual foldable phones like Galaxy fold. However, it seems more practical and more durable. Not to mention it is only half the price of galaxy fold. I skipped the first dual screen and v50 since I had G8 at the time. However, I will be looking into buying this phone this time around.

I've seen the Sams Fold in person and it looks cooler when it's closed with its case on. Open, it's neat, and the size is nice but, there's a noticeable (even when completely open) crease down the center of the screen where it folds. I could forgive it if it was the same price as the LG, but at $2k? That's a "No" from me. I'd rather have the LG.

So torn, I love my one plus 7 pro, and wanted to stay with one plus for awhile, but here comes ol.lg with another novel/crazy idea I love , and I'm gonna have to get one at some point

I'm in the same boat lol currently got a Oneplus 7T which is great but a good deal has popped up on one of these. Decisions decisions

This may not make LG famous like Apple or Samsung. BUT it should give them more sells which they were lacking, because this is a great idea compared to a foldable phone. Hopefully they become bigger though!

The dual screen is good but I wish they wouldve made it how you can use both front and back cameras at once and a better night camera

That's what I am talking about, this is true useful practical innovation a user can use everyday. LG has hit it out the park, samsung, apple, google huawei, have nothing to compete with this. until next year. If Apple or samsung, had this simple accesory for their phone, it was under $1000, they could not make enough of them. Agasin LG leads the way like 18/9+, thin bezels, narrow phones, dual and triple front and rear cameras, back fingerprint reader, HDR, curved oled, 1440P, MQA, quad dac, seperate amp, stereo recording, asmr, etc. However most large youtube tech reviewers will dismiss it out the gate, like Marques Brown, and only look at it's weakness, and may not even review it. They are owned by samsung and apple and want those freebies and invites. And LG simply does not have good marketing, and if they did, they do not have the money, samsung, and apple have already bought and paid retialers and carriers and online stores like amazon by paying for store space, weekly ad space, first to come up in search space, with LG regulated to the back of the store in the corner if they show it at all, with no training at all to the sales person to show the benefits. So it will be an uphill battle.

It will be *over twice as expensive as the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.* That's a big, big problem for LG. They have ZERO brand recognition anymore (compared to Samsung or even Google). They need to "out-Xiaomi" Xiaomi now (make cheap flagships).

@@odeiraoloap Hoping with the screen, it will not be too much, but it does have a 6.4" oled, sd card and headphone jack, wireless charging, water resistance, 32GB selfie cam, flushed cameras, pro video and audio mode, bigger battery,improved cameras and ois over the G8, and you get the second screen and case. And of course the seperate quad dac and amp. Which is a lot more than any flagship phone under $1000 at the moment, actually above $1000 too. I am guessing $899 with case and second screen, but hoping $699-$$799. And than marking that puts it up against $1000+ flagships.

This would be perfect for me if only it were available in the UK. The improvements to the duel screen functionality over the V50 is enough to make the benefits of the V50 as a standalone phone negligible for me.

Is the camera better than Huawei mate 20 pro? Thinking if it's worth changing my current setup.

Definitely better than a folding screen and provides more flexibility since you can just take the phone out of the case and use it as a single screen device ......

Will it be launching this in sg?

Best most reliable high quality dual screen implementation... Wish they did a version with LCD screens, cos I don't like AMOLED at all

Bad idea. Burn in is far worse on LCD. And it's just not as good of a panel

When keeping the duo screen vertical, could you type on one screen? It seems a no to me. You have to swtich to a horizontal view for input.

Att had a deal but it ran out sprint still cones with case but you gotta order it

LG has given us two phones in one. Brilliant LG, So you can leave the second screen at home or in a bookbag until you want to use it. Look out Samsung👀👀👀

It will be in the the US but only Sprint and AT&T are listed as carriers for this one so far. There will be an unlocked version offered directly from LG though

I don't know what to think of this product 😭 so conflicted! It looks like a great idea but the same time I feel this why buy this will forget about the second screen and not use it in a couple months time

Can you please check the flashlight? I have a issue with it because it has dual led dual tone flash in which one led is not working. I have seen 3 phones with same issue.

There's cut-outs in the bottom of the case for the mics/speakers

did they get rid of the quad dac on the g8x?

Two screens will obviously tax the battery more than one. Did LG stop using PERMANENT GLUE on the battery like they did on the previous G8 so that it will be possible to replace the battery? Or are they continuing with their Screw You customer policy? See JerryRigEverything's tear-down of the G8 if you're curious about this.

Will we be getting this in the USA, BOTH ITEMS, AND NOT JUST THE PHONE

Yes, unlike v50 that did not come with it outside of korea. Also, it is not a separate accessory you have to buy, it will come in the box with the phone.

Surface Duo is miles better design wise and it's still just a prototype can't wait for 2020 summer :)

Easily the most practical, fun, and useful, and possible best phone of 2019. Although the LG G8 is in that category too. Few downgrades were, it is no longer the 1440P phone with the highest pip, but you get a whole second screen. No secure face id and secure physical finger print id, the G8 was alone there, and physical fingerprint scanners are faster more accurate and do not require you to look. No more fun hand gestures, and hand id, but google will take that to the next level with lidar andmap your house, and surroundings, to sell to everyone. Crystal screen sound which is superb for phone calls in noisy environments. is sadly gone. Two screen praticality and utility cannot be over stated. The best part are the things it kept. or made better. Flush cameras on back, no camera bump. Bigger battery. quad dac, and amp good enough for pro headphones. All the latest hires bluetooth and lossless audio codecs. Hasrdware MQA decoding. awsome stereo recording, now with asmr. layered pro recording mode. Headphone jack..YAY!!!, it can be done other guys, and LG was selling wireless headphones before almost anyone else. no need to push your wireless buds and dongles by taking it away. SD card slot, again YAY!!, it can be done apple samsung, google, no need to try to move us up in storage at purchase time,, If priced right Under $1000, it will put folding phones and regular $1000 smartphones like the note 10 and iphone 11 max to shame. Actually it already has.
