J, LG is making a more mainstream style pivot but still is being LG. Remember they pioneered ultra wide cameras (G5) and QHD (G3) killer audio (V10). Didn't move units in the way they wanted (for lots of reasons). And their prices drop like a stone after launch. So they're just going to focus on their key features - camera and audio in a bigger package with better run time. Maybe dropping a few features will allow them to retain value a bit longer. I get the compromises, and while it's not me, I still rock LG as my primary driver.

I watch MANY smartphone creators. And I tend to come back to You, E, Floss, Juan..... yall bring it man for real. I cant give yall enough accolades for the unbiased raw reviews you give. Keep doing what you do. !!! I'm but to order my BOGO V60 right now!!!

Bashing LG seems to be the "cool" thing to do with most reviewers/channels. But Samsung can do no wrong... "S20 Ultra a $1400 phone has cameras that have significant issues but don't worry they'll fix it." "LG V60 has bigger bezels than Samsung, you should pass." 😂 Thanks for being unbiased J. That alone helps people make better decisions where to spend their hard earned cash. 👍

I bet that the bezzels are a must when the phone has military resistance standard for shock. Beside that I hate that the slimmer bezzels generate lots of miss touching. I have a samsung phone as a work phone that it doesen't have a curved screen, but it still gets lots of ghost touching.

They bash lg because they're stupid. On the bright side, it help make the phone get cheaper to purchase. I got LG phones mainly for it double tap feature and light weight because I'm a gamer (play store and emulation). I just got the lg g8 for 80 bucks used. The V35 for 70 bucks and V30+ for 60 bucks. I didn't know about the importance of Snapdragon until I got denied from playing The seven deadly sins, grand cross on the play store due to not meeting phone specs requirements. I still to own a super light weight (150g) lg stylos 3 plus with a Snapdragon 435. I'm still using it to type reviews and arguments while lying down with a light weight and comfortable to hold soft gel case. I'm gonna wait for the v60 price to drop. It's not worth the money as of now. The g8 and v35 gonna last me for a while. The lg stylos 3 plus on the other hand still going strong after 2 years. I got it used for 40 bucks.

Comments are all on point. Love it. Have the Note 10+, Oneplus Mclaren, as my main and backup phones and now with the V60 it wins hands down in so many areas that it's not even funny. So much I turned in the Mclaren and making the V60 as my daily driver. LG really needs to market this phone to the max.

How do you find the camera on the LG? I have the ultra and I don't like the image processing. Too heavy, oversharpened, and crushed shadows. I have had Samsung phones since the S2 and I've never liked the cameras on them.

@@nipunsharma5351 I agree with your points on the Samsung cameras. I find the LG one more natural. Plus it have more better controls. Although on video stabilization, it's a toss up. The Samsung is a bit better when walking and taking video. But the LG has way better sound while doing the same. YMMV

The reality is it will still become the most underrated phone 2020. Trust me

That's because they don't promote enough. Because they deliver different configurations and different prices on different markets. Last year, I skipped g8s because it's a lame phone and the V50 is still very expensive in Europe. Over 1200 euro without second screen. The g8x was about 1000 euro without the second screen. Now it's abou 700 euro, without the second screen. LG can't compete with huawei/xiaomi in Europe/Rest of the world, at these prices.

I'm always fond of criticising them hoping someday they knew what the consumer wants for suitable prices, the features and try to compete in the smartphone territory as I'm also an LG fan, but they have gone way overboard with their dumb decision making for the prices. I'm disappointed.

Samsung, Apple, for the "Upper Crust. Apple with that bionic soc and the everything Samsung like fine furniture. LG V60 Is beautiful, the white or pearlescent look man is that beautiful. Big batt, 865 horse power, Qudac bonus!

Good to finally see some honest coverage on the LG V60. So far the V60 is proving to be the best buy of 2020. Like you mentioned in your video, a QHD display and better audio at lower levels would've been nice to have.

LG was one of the industry leaders just 5 years ago. I'd love for them to make comeback someday soon.

That's insane battery life! This is where having a 5000mAh battery and 1080 screen shine. Plus they probably did it for the sake of using the dual screen case to make that easier on the battery.

All these so called reviewers like Marques Brownlee and all need to take example from you, Juan, Floss and all these unbiased KZreadrs who actually have consistent arguments and excel at reviewing phones not for the mere brand they carry out front, but for the relevance of releasing such phones onto the market while considering the good things they can bring to patrons. I read Christian De Looper V60's pitiable review yesterday on Digital Trends and it just about totally confirms what you say about #TheMedia. Props to you for outsmarting them.

I wanna convey everything you said to LG, all of it make sense to help them improve specially the extra bezels thing, just make a phone as compact as possible. Still enjoying my LG G7+.

I have a note 10 plus and I love it and have used Samsung for 8 years now... But if I was in the market for new phone now I would choose this phone with the dual display over the Ultra

I don't really go by what DXO mark score says but I always wondered why LG phones always receive such low camera scores. Always below 100. I think LG makes fantastic cameras. Especially for vid.

I think the reason they put 1080 screen is to help keep price down. I only ran 1080 display on my flag ship phone. This phone does so much more then my last phone. And i payed around 1000.00. I got a better deal on this LG v60 and would not trade this phone

kdog350 you don’t need that high of a resolution in a screen that small anyway. 1080p is more than enough. You also don’t nee 90 or 120hz in a phone. Just kills the battery faster.

Great content and LG has been making great phones for years now for me especially I really started enjoying them more with the G6. This looks like a wonderful device for myself personally I won't be getting it only because it's too big for me I don't have big hands. For me the best size is between 6.1-6.2 inch display. I am currently using the OnePlus 7t which is amazing but still had to adjust and it's the biggest I think that I will ever want to go in terms of size. Got the dual screen, useful to read emails on one side while doing other stuff on the other screen, so far really happy, previous phones are all Samsung. I have had mine on for 3 days dual screen and at 50% battery, with low usage.

How do you go back to a previous page ? For example..most phones have option to see all the pages you have open. Its usually a square icon. I just haven't found yet so I keep losing whatever Im looking at on the app or website .

Hi J, I saw a review stated that there is no native email client on the V60. Is that true..?

I ve had mines since Tuesday. Coming from s10 and its another hit for LG. True there's no perfect phone unless we get options to make our own device. For the price its awesome. I did pick up the 2nd screen which i travel a lot( well not in a week since im on lock down) I used it for navigation and use Spotify at the same time. Love you reviews broths keep grinding.

J, thanks for the review. Haven't considered LG in years mostly because of no pen support in their flagship phones. BUT, may have to rethink this now that it has pen support. Been staying with Note phones since Note 2 because of the spen. Now with bigger battery, headphone jack, plus dual screen possibility I am really rethinking it. I have been delighted with this phone, havent had a chance to explore the cameras for landscapes and on the go photos but its so far is amazing. Thank you for unbiased reviews and all the content you put out.

I have the G8, G8X dual, and the V60. The only reason I switched to LG is because HTC stopped making phones that I'd buy. I've had HTC Evo, Evo 3D, Evo 4g lte, M8 Harman Kardon edition, which is my favorite, 10 and U11. Camera and stereo are my desired favorites. LG has met those features and qualities that I look for. Rocking the V60 currently and I'm happy with it. Jay is right, the camera on this phone is stellar OIS is insane and the asmr mode mics pick up everything. I wish HTC was still making flagships but LG is very underrated and fills my requirements. Samsung and Apple in my opinion are overrated and very advertised based on marketing budget. I can't count the times my HTC phones outclassed both Apple and Samsung with features that those two couldn't match and it pissed me off that reviewers got paid to push their products biasly. Jay, kudos to you for the honest feedback and reviews. Keep up the great work.

Great review! I'm watching this on my v60 I got yesterday, on my first day with it- 10 hrs of screen on time right now with 13% left! Used it all day and I couldn't be happier. You should do a comparison of the Bluetooth quality in a car. I noticed immediately that my music sounded incredible even without using the DAC

I did a test with KZread with the dual screen still going, 5 and a half hours and I still got 45 percent left in the tank. I expect to get around 8-10 hours of SOT with the dual screen. Without maybe 12-14?

I so wanted the LG G8. But TMO had it discontinued and the only other option to buy outright. LG Corp. Still commands 599 for the G8 and Best buy is not cheap either. G8 is the perfect phone, size wise, display, body;(color) and I love the wallpaper. Want install it on the V60 if possible.

J!!! You were spittin... All of the Love and Respect you give LG, it's refreshing. I picked up the LG G8X, based on the videos yourself and Juan put out. Mine you, those were on the LG G8, but they're quite similar phones. But I love the device. You are 100% right, when a pair of good headphones are plugged into that phone. The sound is unreal. The cameras are strong, for pictures and recording. LG is doing well with their devices. I have no idea why many people are biased towards them. Without giving them any kind of chance. Please keep providing excellent, fair reviews.

Another thing that you might review is the V60 supposedly has "Bluetooth LE" which means it should be able to pair to two devices at once. That feature alone might be a game changer. And the 32 bit audio and 24 bit record at 196K makes this studio level audio really. LG has always been spec monsters.

Man that only makes me feel better about my purchase just got mine yesterday I'm absolutely loving it. I'm also almost 75% blind but love to enjoy what vision I have by utilizing night mode and magnifier on II dual screen as well as large text. you can always tell if an operating system is clean if you're utilizing accessibility tools such a screen reader and magnifier because there's always issues if the skin is too bloated and heavy. Amazing phone. I'm a Google tester and get free phones like once a year and didn't even need to buy this phone
