I did not like that generation of Samsung phones. I had those and they failed my expectations after a year of having one. V20 has up-to-date features plus more. I love music and video so this phone is perfect. The battery issue can be resolved in an instant unlike the Note 5, but it is personal opinion so goodluck.

Check C Indeed there is no comparison, but this is the closest it gets for the time being.

I just turned in my Note 7 and got the V20 last friday. I am already starting to like it better than the Note 7. I liked the screen better on the Note 7 and liked the S-Pen however my Note 7 had already started lagging real bad. With my V20 so far it does not lag at all and while the screen was a little over saturated I found that turning on Comfort view on the low setting adds just the right amount of warmth to the screen that darkens the colors a little making the screen easier and more pleasurable to look at. I am still getting used to my V20 but I already love it after just 3 days.

Brett Johnson I did the opposite of you i had a note 7 but tried the v20 for a week. I hate the v20. i went back to my samsung note 7. I tried to like the v20 but I'm not going to lie to myself. Still can't find a phone similar to the note 7 yet.

Tom Hacks I have all of the Notes accept the first one and live them. However Samsung has been taking away some features since the Note 4. Many of which I find in the V20.

Brett Johnson I'm doing the same as Tom. I've had V20 since release and I'm keeping the note 7 and sending back the v20. just not the same. Its weird no other phones exploded after the end recall. Most were false claims and not as big of a deal as the media made it out to be.

ir blaster is great!!i can turn off the projector at my class so my lecturer can end the class early.plus,no one will know i did that,haha

Dude no lie the only phone to get me away from my G3 was the Note 7! But sence I had to return my Note 7 I was going write back to my G3 but Samsung has this thing if I get a Galaxy S7 OR S7Edge they will give you $100 & put you in line for a Note 8 before anyone else so thats the only reason why I have a S7 rite now & not my G3. But point I'am trying to make is LG makes great phones & this V20 looks amazing!!

Just purchased this ph a few days ago. Enjoying it so far. Good build design, light in the hand. Performance is great too. The quick charge feature is excellent. I've gone from 9% to full 100% in just under 2 hrs. Oh yeah, if you're an audiophile, this is the ph to have. I have a set of Skull Candy Hesh 2's that I've been using for awhile. Not the best headphones by a long shot (but suitable enough for my taste until I purchase some better ones), but they sound WAY better with this ph than on any other ph I've owned & used them on.

LG V20 Removable battery #1 SD card #2 IR Blaster #3 Enough Said the phone is pretty incredible LG is the last phone company that actually listens to the consumer. I had the V10 before but thought the chip set was to slow. I had the Note 7 but we all know how that went. Feel beyond excited to have the LG V20 because the chip set is fast and has everything I need. can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me to have a removable battery for anyone who is a power user this is a MUST. Hats of to LG they have my support.

I agree, I cannot stand having a smartphone without a removable battery. I would rather keep a few spare batteries along with me and swap them out rather than to carry bulky energy wasting chargers that adds a lot more heat and a lot more bulk along with the added bonus of having messy wires in your pocket. no thanks I'll just stick to swapping out the good 'ol batteries

Will almost certainly be getting this phone in the next week or two. Both the removable battery, and the extendable storage are *HUGE* selling points.

i lovee my second screen on v10 i love being able to change my music while on a different app without changing apps or pulling down the top screen.

WHOAAA nice shots man, this video really helped me a lot when I was shopping for a new phone, and this video was sooo convincing I didn't hesitate to get my V20. I've been loving it! Keep it up man! the G5 is extremely underrated. if you don't feel you need the features of the V20 the G5 is much cheaper and still has a fantastic display, battery life, and specs that are pretty much the same compared to the V20. sure, the modular idea was a flop, but setting that aside, it is still a wonderful device with one of the very best camera setups in the smartphone market. and honestly, I believe the 5.3 inch display size is perfect. I have never felt more comfortable holding a phone.

This has to be the best and fairest review of the V20 I've seen. You didn't overpraise it but you didn't sugarcoat its shortcomings in video stabilization and overexposure in auto which I totally agree with. Very nice.

Hey I'm using an old LG phone still but I want to upgrade to a new one.... My current LG does NOT have a LED light notification indicator. So if someone texts me or I miss I call, there is no way for me to know unless I go look at the phone. My question is does this LG have a little light notification that will blink when there is something waiting for me? If it does have a notification light, can I customize the colour that it blinks like I used to do with my super super old blackberry? I just want a phone that has a notification light that blinks and that I can customize the colour of it. If someone can let me know, that would be awesome. Thank you!

The second screen on my v10 is nearly the only thing I launch apps with. Best part of both of these phones.

Are the on screen back and multitasking buttons swappable? I prefer the back button on the right side of the screen.

The intro of the V20 phone in the beginning..amazing! Video really helped me in deciding on if I should get it or not.

currently using the lg V10 and honestly there aren't enough new features for me to get the V20. I think my next phone might be the zte axon 7 or I might just wait for the axon 8 to come out and see how that is. I'm really interested in affordable flagships. My wallet is also very interested.

Le John not necessarily an upgrade but I guess I just want something new at a good price. plus the battery life on the V10 is horrible. 3000 mah and no really good battery saving options. I do have an extra battery but it would be nice to have something that lasts a little longer on it's own

Do you know how many customers come back to my store with boot loop issues with the g4 and g5.. Even if i do a hard reset still the issue doesn't get resolved.

Adelhard Schwarz LG has notoriously produced some of the worst IPS lcd's for its flagships! I'm not an apple person but HTC and apple both use much better displays than LG!

JOPPMAN8000 It's no longer really a preference but a standard. The only flagship manufacturer not to use AMOLED is LG and Apple, and Apple is ready with those panels for the iPhone 10. LG is lagging behind despite using that same screen tech in their TVs.

No panic, they said that they wouldn't release the V10 in Europe but in the end they did and they will probably do the same thing with the V20

Leijonafani they never released the V10 in EUROPE, the ones on ebay are from Asia and don't work properly on all networks (in the U.K.). They will not release this in EUROPE as demand is poor. It's just not worth them changing the modems and going through the tough European testing and regulation procedure for a handful of sales. Phablets are just not as popular in Europe compared to the US. Over 65% of all iPhone sales in Europe are the smaller two iPhones. Shame as it's a good choice for some, but the failure of the G5, one of the worst decisions in smart phones history, design wise, means LG cannot afford to release a loss leader in EUROPE. Thankfully LG will kill off modularity with the G6 as their software is betr than Touch Wizz IMO.

How well does this hold up in 2019 while updated to Oreo?

i had the g3 , and after using it for 1year and 8 months, it suddenly died. no signs , no warnings, , just would not turn on, and if i do try to turn it on , a blue screen just shows up. I really want the v20 but im a little worried having the same problem.. not sure if its a LG issue.

Settings/Developer Options/ Tick on "Force GPU Rendering" this makes your Android phone smoother/snappier, if root available try L Speed/Entropy/fstrim apps on Play Store! LG G5 & LG V20 are both snappy beasts and most anticipated of 2016. It's very well optimised with Snapdragon 820 and is better than Samsung!

It also drains your battery MUCH faster because it is forcing everything to go through the GPU unnecessarily. Like driving a hybrid but telling it to force the engine on no matter what.

I currently have the choice of buying the LG V20 or the iPhone 7 plus 128 GB, which would you buy if you were in my shoes? Benny Bao i just bought the v20 . its not that great man i think my note 4 is better . the colors are not that bright than the samsung phones. or even the color looks pale. the only reason i bought it was because of the removable battery and because im going overseas on vacacion and my siser needs a phone so im giving her my note 4 .. if it wasnt for that i wouldve kept my note 4 and wait for s8 or note 8.

honestly I think this phone is under rated. didn't see much hype behind it but I personally was was really excited for its release.

Enjoying the phone so far. Loved my V10 so I got this one. I'm big on audio and video recording and have no issues. The camera is great to me. I don't mind an LCD vs an oled, there is a difference in colors, but nothing bad. I also have no light bleed from the 2nd screen like I did on my V10.

Kind of a random question, but I really loved my IR blaster on my old Galaxy phones and it was strong as hell (like 30 ft range without even having to aim at the TV receiver). I also had an LG G2 but that IR blaster was terrible, it got like 6-10 ft max and that's if you were aiming it directly at the receiver. How is the range of the blaster on this phone?

Mines comes next week. Im very exited.

some review and launch videos say a pink one is available? is that not true, i havent seen any of the us carriers with a pink one.

how is the screens color accuracy on this phone? I heard is was really bad on the pre-production models.

I just wish it was water resistant

I have to charge my oneplus one several times a day because I am a heavy gamer. Its battery capacity 3.1 Ah. So for a mobile with larger screen size and much high resolution it should have had a bigger battery. BTW I am not a Samsung fanboy. If budget phones such as Redmi 3S Prime can have 4.1 Ah battery so why can't flagship phones pack a bigger battery ?? After all these flagship phones cost quite a lot

According to CNET, LG mobile reports $381M loss due to poor sales. Last year, LG, for some unknown reason did not release the #LGV10 in Europe. Again, even with all the #note7 users having to give their handsets back, LG are NOT releasing the #LGV20 in Europe. Now would be the time to cash in. It's not exactly rocket science. I am willing to put money on it that LG will be making another loss in the next quarter. #pathetic

It is crazy. I have just ordered mine from Asia, so will be getting the B&O version, which is fine with most networks here in the UK. LG really missing a trick with Samsungs problems... You have to wonder whether LG actually like making money or not?

I would love to switch out my trusted Htc one m7 for this, but i hope you guys get around to check out the bang and olufsen asian version first.

the battery life is literally the only thing I'm concerned about with this phone. No, I will not carry around a 2nd battery for a PHONE. Do you know how ridiculous, and archaic that is? cmon man. If the battery life isn't good then Huawei's Mate 8 or soon to come Mate 9 seems more intriguing considering they put an adequate 4000mah in their battery.

Kenneth Rozario it is extremely impractical in the yr 2016 to have to carry around extra batteries or power banks just because your phone has a small battery capacity. no practical person wants to do that. I'd rather just have a phone with a 4000mAh. I love LG's UI tho, so I'm pretty disappointed.
