hii, i just bought a lg magic remote, i tried to register it by holding the guide button, or by pressing both back and home button, nothing works, the power button is blinking and showing "Press OK to register Magic Remote" notification, when i press ok, nothing happens. the remote continues to use the ir blaster to operate the tv. please help

it is just broken... and we had it 5 times: after a few months the thin plastic inside (what holds this roll) is breaking and this roll is deep inside and useless...

Try to bring speaker more forward as much as possible instead of flush against the tv . i never had connection issues after i was able to re register remote i could use it from all the way across my house very impressed

Dear customer, please try to create a bit more space between the center speaker and the TV. If just a little bit of infrared light can be received by the IR sensor (reflected via the ceiling or walls), this could work.

for my remote batteries are getting discharged frequently like in weeks time even I'm using Alkaline batteries . Please help

Dear customer, the Magic Remote should go in to stand-by mode when you do not move it for a while (the pointer disappears). Do you hold the Magic Remote in your hand while watching TV? It could also be that dirt or liquid got inside of the Magic Remote, causing the battery drainage. For more help, please contact your local LG helpdesk via www.lg.com/common

I have a problem with remote.The battries i used first time in remote worked more than a year but when i replaced battery it drain in just 1 or 2 days. First i thought that problem could be in cells and i replaced them too.but again it drained.

Dear Nonhlanhla Ngubane, please try the following method to re-register the remote: 1. Press and hold the Home and Back button at the same time, until the power button flashes (the remote is not disconnected from the TV) 2. Press the OK button (the scroll button), the remote should re-register to the TV. If specific buttons still do not work, you might have to replace the remote. Batteries draining so fast. Works only 6-7 days. No repair service from LG. Told to purchase new.

Same with me, when I follow your instructions there is no option to increase sensitivity. There’s only one option. Voice response on or off. I spent $2,500 on this tv and it’s only 3 days old. Frustrating when your online support intentionally disconnects on me twice while troubleshooting this issue. Do better

Same problem for my $1500 LG, no solution was found, help desk was pretty worthless.

The curseur is not stable, it moove in all places without moving it ?????

There should be a class action lawsuit against LG and their magic remote, countless people report the wheel breaks on the remote making your $3000 OLED TV useless as intended. OH NO THE APP IS NOT WHAT PEOPLE PURCHASED TO OPERATE THEIR TV'S...

My issue is. The remote is draining new batteries within a week or so

Dear Jack Packman, this should not happen. It could be that one of the buttons is 'stuck', or could it be somebody accidentally sat on the remote for a while? Do you see a red light blinking on the remote? Maybe you need a replacement remote, please contact your local LG helpdesk via www.lg.com/common

I had to dislike after it said make sure the tv is plugged in. I’ll never understand why people think to include stuff like that in videos. If someone doesn’t know to plug in the tv I doubt they’ll have the intelligence to look up a video, but I digress…
