WOW, wonderful tv, my dream

Bought my LG 55B7V on Boxing Day for £1,499 from John Lewis's sale. Not disappointed. It was delivered two days later and the picture is everything I expected and more. TellyDan's unboxing video was very helpful in setting it all up. The LG manual supplied is, very surprisingly, pretty useless. The TV's standard definition for DVDs is very good and BlueRay is absolutely brilliant. I upgraded a few weeks ago to Virgin Media's latest super-fast V3.0 hub to get more hi-def programmes. This combo is unbeatable for top quality viewing. I now have the home cinema set up I dreamed of. Highly recommended. I was going to wait to see if LG's prices came down more - since the latest OLED TV's (LGB8) are introduced at next week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. But I'd rather buy now than miss out and find them sold out.

Windchaser good choice I think. Netflix looks really good on them too. The price at the moment is good too. Hope you really enjoy it.

It's bad TV I have won the new oLED c7 Technology have bigger problem for users the colour showing wrong red showing Orange Yellow showing green

Thanks all set up with a LG SJ8 soundbar I was a bit worried about the built in Sat tuner didn't want Freesat but wanted Hotbird but it was easy to tune it to that. Picture on Sky Q 4K very good

Paul Walton that's cool. Did you get your sky q set to 10bit? It's in the av settings. I messed about with the tv a bit to get the picture right but I think that's subjective

My *LG OLED 4k TV B7* supports RGB colors for 4:2:0 (HD blu-ray movies), 4:2:2 (4k blu-ray movies, and 4:4:4 which I don't see any movies available for it. I do see some high end cameras ($15 thousand dollars or more) support shooting cinema videos with 4:4:4.

I'd say it shines the most on UHD blu ray and is really good on normal blu ray. Standard definition is maybe not the best but I wouldn't worry too much about standard definition for the amount it's used.

thanks for the vid very helpfull, just got this tv and i am wondering about the part where you do the program tuning, you clicked on digital tuning , so does that mean searching for all the channels on freeview like quest etc, also what does the smart retuning option do?

Ron Jones if you did analogue as well and had sky distributed around the aerial system it would store the sky on an analogue channel. You can also connect a satellite feed and scan for Freesat or free to view satellite. Digital only is uk terrestrial freeview as you mentioned though. Thanks for the polite comment

yes, I think so. You have to alter the setting a bit first to get it natural but things move well

+pippyschannel1 movies you should be fine. A customer who is a big gamer has one and just make sure he doesn't leave the screen on when paused as a precaution

Tiantong Qin its the 2017 model with the only difference being the stand and no Dolby atmos speakers, I actually prefer the stand of the B7A which looks more like the one on the C7

Hey just watched this video I'm really wanting this oled but also torn with the Samsung q led? But everyone is telling me to go with the oled .... I currently have a lg 2016 55 inch hdr 4k tv which cost just over 700 pound...the picture is not bad but I must be a tv addict!! I have a Xbox x I'm just wanting the best tv for gaming plus streaming Netflix etc.... can you help me out ?

Andy Barber if it was me I would go for the OLED. I see both alot but for me personally I watch alot of Netflix mostly in a dimly lit room. That made my choice the OLED for the perfect blacks. The samsung is really good too but is still an LCD so you don't get the black the same also backlight bleed can be noticed.

Andy Barber I checked out some of the 4k content on Netflix the marvel stuff which was dark content and Jack Whitehall and his dad which was bright all looked stunning

Street spirit it's not as bright as the samsung qled lcd, but to be honest in a home environment I personally wouldn't have it at full brightness to keep it looking natural

The problem is that the OLED even if you raise the brightness to the maximum its WHITE color is poor, taking life away from the panel, however a Qled has the same image response but with the most vivid image giving more realism to the images. Reality is what it is, you buy a TV to have a good image not to stay on the road.

Street spirit side by side though the qled has a noticeable backlight bleed so a compromise is present on OLED and qled both do look fantastic though.

Ángel 306 qled look saturated as fuck. Wouldn't say realism when colors aren't natural.

Are wall mounting screws included?

RasKiddo they don't come with the relevant screws they usually supply some with the wall mount kits though. I think they are m6 screws/bolts

hello oled b7v users, can you answer me please?it's very important for me.

Great review. However, I have to warn everyone here and now that the LG OLED Tv's are susceptible to burn in and LG will not repair the TV. I have two a 55' EF panel and a 65" B6. They get normal use, up to 5 hours per day max. We watch movies on weekends and news mostly during the week. I noticed after about 8 months that I have the burn in of a bar at the bottom of the TV. CNN, FOX, CNBC, almost every major network has this during the new cycle. Sadly, I've owned my tv less than a year and LG says that I physically damaged the panel. My 55' has no issues. Its just the B6. I spent about $3500 for it at the end of the year in 2016. It was manufactured in October 2016. Great picture, yes. But don't expect that you can actually use it like a TV.

if you watch news 5 days a week then you should have thought about it before buying a oled tv. I have this TV and there is absolutly no buring in after 7 months of solid use but again i dont watch news 5 days a week so there is no static image to be burned in. You should have probably invested in a LCD display. Sorry about your situation.

awaisbhatti100 The 55" EF panel has no issues. We watch the 65" maybe 4-5 hours total but it's not all news. It's unfortunate to spend this kind of money. Never had burn in on my Plasmas or any other for that matter. Maybe this is a fluke but we have only had this since 12/30/16. They advertise this as a TV. If it's only for movies they should call it something else
