Would have liked to have bought the Nano, but since this was a nice gift to our family due to our old TV needing repair and only costing the gifter $300, still pleased with the performance for the price point. Once we get the old TV fixed, the UP7000 will still be a great back up for our 3rd room.

05:10 The Nano 75 picks up her brown hair colors much better than the other two TVs. But price performance, the UP7000 is $450 less... The Nano 75 HDR10 Pro absolutely has better colors for your high contrast images in the snow. The UP7000 wins the Budget. So for best colors, the Nano wins 100%, and might be worth the extra cash in the long run. On a budget, UP7000 is crushing it #1 first place. Any new owner can fiddle around with the brightness and contrast setting for their best viewing experience that pleases their eyes.

I got an excellent deal on an LG Nanocell 50 two days ago and hooked up a Vizio sound bar and noticed most of the sound was coming out of the satellite speakers. This was a product of using auto instead of PCM. Thanks for your videos, very informative.

Thanks! Best review video!! Your review video was easy to understand and demonstrated all the features I was concerned about. My older son wanted an extra tv in his apt/ bedroom , and he picked out the budget LG 7000 before I had enough time to research the model. I am going to buy the nano tv for him and take the 7000 back( it's arriving today)! I think it'll end up being too dark. Thank you so much for helping us avoid a big disappointment down the road. Thanks so much for reviewing smaller size screens - some of us live in tiny apartments and literally can't fit the huge TV's most people are reviewing. :) My first flat screen was an LG and that bad boy still works perfectly (I think 15 years now..) and has amazing picture quality (even compared to some newer models). It's interesting that even my old LG has the same picture options - I personally LOVE cinema mode, and I find Samsung displays to be too bright and blown out. I'm so excited to upgrade to one of the 43" models LG has avail now. I was trying to wait for the old LG to die but it's looking like it will out live ME!.

Thanks for the great comparison I need right now! We have the 65uh5500 but I guess the motherboard is dead from what I see online. It turns on, audibly clicks, and then turns off. :( in any case, I’m thinking of getting the 8000 tomorrow. I have a decent size room so need the viewing angle, don’t want to break the bank seeing as how this last one only lasted 5 years, and I’m used to raising the brightness on the few services that give me uhd and gaming in uhd right now. I was looking to find out what was nanocell and if I would want it. You answered my question as no due to the viewing angles. Appreciate the comparison greatly. Thanks again!

Here's a suggestion (I know it's an old video but it still applies), tilt the left and right tv towards the camera when doing a 3 TV comparison. They're far and large enough for it to have a negative impact when they're all flush, so viewing angle is introduced and they always feel darker and less colorful than they actually are. Just a few degrees should be enough. Love the channel, keep up the great work! Greetings from an electronics store worker :)

Almost the same thing with Samsung, if you can get a good used NU8000/8500 series it's much better than any new models.

It started with Alexa not working, then the auto updates not working to the thing saying it's having server issues and your internet not working and finally not being able to download the user agreement to use the apps and other stuff. Now I'm waiting for a tv technician to come over with parts to fix an 80 day old tv. I wish I would have done more research on the showroom floor at Best Buy before making this crappy purchase. Here's the final takeaway: IPS panels are significantly better than VA panels when it comes to viewing angle and somewhat better than VA panels when it comes to color. So after taking a look at UP8000/7000 and the Nano 75, frankly I think the colors of the Nano didn't really do it for me. Maybe it's just me? I think the UHD versions have better colors, more true to life. Maybe it was just a bad demo video playing at the store. I think I'll go with the Nano 76, it looks like a good deal tho. You could have set them up through the menu with correct colour settings, all same on all TVs. That would be better than just putting them in standard mode. When calibrated they are all much closer than the video concludes.

  • @TechSteve

I would think that standard mode is standard for testing. Once you start calibration it's not going to give a bias review.

@@TechSteve Hi Steve, I meant that Standard is generally not accurate so expert modes or filmmaker might be better to compare between, with more accurate colours. I got a discount (399€) and bought 50UP77 with VA panel (I wanted VA because of better contrast ratio of 4700ish and I don't regret, ADS has around 1500) and picture is generally well, but lack of compatibility with DTS audio codecs is a deal-breaker. If I knew that I wouldn't buy it. It just doesn't play sound, silent film 🎥. This is bedroom TV so I didn't put in enough research.
