Yes Oliver, most people use Microwave for heating only. I've been cooking in microwave since ages, even when there were no autocook menus provided. Even now I only have tried a few of these recipes. Since I've learnt to cook my dishes by trial and error and have perfected it that way, I prefer to still follow that. But there are some recipes which become very simple using this option, for people who don't know much of cooking. Please do check our your manual for these preset menu options.

I have a microwave only oven. So the number of auto cook menus are less. But among them I use steam vegetables and kala channa. I love the steam vegetables as we cook upto 300gms of any vegetables with quarter cup water. In ten minutes vegetables are steamed perfectly.

Thanks for sharing Sreelakshmi. Yes even the solo microwave ovens come with autocook menu these days. I'm sure most of the recipes must be good and easy to make. I too haven't tried all, but do so soon and keep uploading them.

Maggi is my favourite midnight meal which i used to prepare in microwave within 8 minutes, nice video mam post any baking recipes

At 3:04 , in the instructions it is mentioned in Point 3 that we have to change the side when it beeps. So does it mean that after 8 min ends, we will change the side and press start? This means that on new side only 30 seconds we get as autocook menu has ended for the previous side.. or do they mean that we need to go to the autocook menu again for the other side as well?

Hi, I think you are asking about instructions of Breakfast option BF6 which is grilled sandwich. For grilled sandwich I set (2 slices), it takes 7 minutes, for 2 sets 8 minutes and for 3 sets it takes 9 minutes. When the total time is 7,8 or 9 minutes depending on the weight chosen, there will be a beep in between when one side has got grilled, at that time you have to press the Stop/Pause button, open the door and take out the multi cook tava with the bread slices and turn the sides and keep them back inside, and press the Start button. It will continue cooking from that point and stop once the time is over. You do not have to select from autocook menu once again for the other side. The time taken is for both the sides. I've shown this recipe in another video. Please watch that video, you will understand. It's very simple. Hi Samreen, sorry for the delayed reply. But i have not made this recipe. Yet I can tell you that you can bake this for 20 minutes at 180 deg C.

Hi raj pak, thanks for sharing your view. I have made it several times and it comes out very well. The microwave time cooks the bhendi well and the final grilling time fries and roasts well. May be in this video it appears a bit undercooked. But we consumed it and the taste was quite good and it did not feel undercooked. May be the quantity was a bit more in the video (and also I did not stir during the last portion because I was explaining the autocook menu). At such times, we can increase the time by a few minutes manually if we feel it is not sufficiently cooked, which I did not do in this video. Thanks once again.

All those auto cook menus are completely useless. Mine have more than 200 recipes. I have never used any of them. The only three buttons needed are micro, grill and convection. That's what I use 99% of the times....

I agree with you Avinash! I myself have tried very few of these options as I already used to cook, grill and bake in my microwave oven since almost 18 years. I've learnt the trial and error way. But having tried a few recipes and the ease with which the food gets ready, and also since this was the only feature I hadn't covered in my Microwave videos, I thought of posting this for the benefit of people who may be having Microwave with these options but not using them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
