    Hello and good early morning. I followed all the steps on my own LG G7 thinq. I used a metal flexible pry tool along with 94% ipa to weaken the glue holding the battery in place. After doing all that is needed to replace the battery I accidentally cut the ribbon cable from the USB charging port. I ordered a charging port and in five days I put the new one in the broken one's place. I tested the phone. I needed to undo the 15 screws and I forgot to plug in the screen flex cable connection and then put them all back into place. Once again tested the phone and had it all working just fine. Then, and only then did I clean off the interior of the edge with IPA before peeling off the new back cover double sided tape (tape backing) Viola!!! Now I have a working back up to my other working Lg G7 thinq. Thank you for the video upload.

Do you think i should replace it and hope it'll work? Wifi still works perfectly btw

    Thanks for the vid man it helped me allot. One thing I would add is to separate the battery use a playing card and a couple drops of isopropyl alcohol. I use 91% from the drug store. This gets rid of the need for heat and makes the process take 10 seconds. Just be careful not to let it sit and use just a tiny bit so it doesn't seep into the screen etc. Oh and also I prefer the plastic playing cards (waterproof) as they are more ridged but if your using heat the paper is better because the plastic will melt/get soft.

  • @PBKreviews

    I doubt it, its either going to be more congested traffic in those areas now a days thus the speed decrease or your carrier capping speed. If neither of those, I would look at the processor wearing down over time with heaver software load and updates etc possibly. I wouldn't suspect the cable or the antenna assembly causing slower speeds because if that was the case it would either not give you signal at all or just work fine but not in between.

    First make sure its not your router. Then if you have ever had anything repaired or replaced on your phone, I would check those plastic covers with the antenna lines which run through them to make sure they are seated and screwed down properly to make good contact with the contacts on the board. If none of these fix your issue then it might be bad hardware or the wifi on the board might be bad.

  • @PBKreviews

    @PBKreviews

    2 жыл бұрын

    It's not possible for end users to properly replace the glass only. It requires special tools and machines to do it. The chance of breaking the screen or damaging/scratching it trying to remove the glass is very high not to mention assembling a new glass with no dust or particles getting in between and not having touch issues etc. Personally if I even had the proper tools needed to do the job, I would not spend the time required doing it. :)

  • @PBKreviews

    PBKreviews when they say the main power supply unit is dead, are they referring to the board?

  • @PBKreviews

    @PBKreviews

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@looqmern I mean the phones don't really have a PSU ( power supply unit ) so the next thing I would think is would be the battery. The board is referred to as the mobo or mother board or main board. Also one could say the processor is not working or the board is bad to refer to the board not working. So maybe you can try a new battery see if that fixes your issue. But if your board is fried from liquid damage, most likely a battery would not fix the issue.

    make sure all the cables are connected including the coaxial cable or wire cable. Also, the charger port flex if you replace it, sometimes there are different regions versions which have different antenna contacts on it that can cause issues. Make sure the replacement is the same model number variant as yours. One last thing, make sure the main board is seated properly and any motherboard cover is in place correctly and screwed down since those have antenna lines drawn over them which provide signal etc.
