Hi there, Both the LG 27'' Laundry Front Load Stacking Kit, Model # KSTK4 and the older LG 27" Laundry Front Load Stacking Kit, Model # KSTK1 are designed for compatibility with LG Front Load Washers and their matching LG Electric/Gas Dryers that have a width of 27" and support the stacking of LG 27" wide front load dryers on top of their matching LG Front Load washer models. ~ Tanisha

I was wondering the exact same thing. My washer product page still calls out the KSTK1 as the only recommended part, but it’s discontinued. I’m glad to hear that the KSTK4 can be used. :D

But how about for dual control it says only supported by KSTK4, O have matched stacking kit which is HSTK1B, will kit make difference? Is there some electronic components or cable on one or the other ?

Thank you for this helpful guide. I have just bought a new LG dryer that is slightly deeper than my new LG washer (though they are the same width and height). Can I still stack them like this? Thanks!

I would like to stack dryer DLHC5502B on top of WM6700HBA. Can I use KSTK4 referenced in the washer manual or do I have to use HSTK1B references in the dryer manual?

What if I forgot to take the paper off to expose the double sided tape? :( should I pull the dryer back off and redo things?

Hi, great question! A stacked washer and dryer is typically 77- 80 inches tall (~6 and 2/3 feet). If you're interested in this setup, please make sure you can comfortably reach the top controls (You may require a stepping stool to do so). ^Chris
