Lezyne Strip Drive Pro Rear Light 300+ Vs 400+(New) on highest Day Flash setting - who wins???

Just a comparison of highest settings on both lights.
I think the 300 is better, what do you think?

400 is better. The irregular flash sequence is much more visible to others opposed to the flash on the 300.

Hi James, certainly that helps heaps. Both the 300 and 400 are very effective in their day time max lumens flash modes, flashing quite a fair bynber of times in say a 2-3 seconds period. The reason i'm asking is because i am mainly a pavement cyclist (legal in my country) and so i am crossing pedestrian crossings a fair bit. So there would be traffic coming from behind me and turning towards my side be it towards my rear left or rear right. So i'd need the most number of flashes within 2-3 seconds + wide angle illumination. A high capacity battery / long runtime in max lumens mode is bonus. I always brake before i reach the road, check twice or thrice and i cycle across at around 5-8kmh, ie walking pace or very brisk walking pace. Very safe, but i'd want an additional safety insurance, which would be rear lights. Front lights are usually bright enough.

This video illustrates things better. Really need to be flashing quite quickly for it to be effective. Wide angle illumination too. Side firing 45 deg Cygolite hypershots also work, as the vehicles for sure need to get past the beam. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Yml-ysiqdde0lNo.html

Bicycles that stay off roads don't get hit by cars. If there was a car driving on a city street or rural road doing 10-20 mph under the limit, they would be ticketed for impaired driving or obstructing traffic. Just a FYI

They do over here in my country.....pavement cyclists including food delivery folks still risk and can get hit by cars over here as we need to cross roads. In fact side lights are needed to reduce risk. Another eg : kzread.info/dash/bejne/fGyVspdtoMzIj9o.html

In fact i (pavement cyclist only, getting from point A to point B) was nearly hit 2 weeks ago in a similar manner in the video that i just shared. Same for joggers or even walking pedestrians. It's always a good idea to increase visibility Hence the reason why i asked James to make this video comparison. Luckily i always make it a point to check before and during the crossing, multiple times, it's become a habit. Good lights further reduce the risk further in case i did not check properly. A trip to the GP for a minor fall from the bike could cost 1 to 2 of these lights already, so it's money well spent. A basic A&E visit with basic treatment easily a few Lezynes, not to mention the downtime from work needed.

@michaelmappin4425 these bicycle idiots are reprehensible. If a pedestrian was walking in the middle of a car lane they would very likely get hit. If I rode my horse in the middle of a traffic lane you would call me a foolishness idiot or worse. This stupid bicycle lobby about either commuting, exercise or delivery is nonsense in a developed country with roads and heavy traffic. It's stupid to think you can keep up with traffic- you can't. You're not visible- many idiots don't even wear sufficient reflection, lights etc. Many bikes don't obey stop light rules. You always lose in any collision... just idiocy Go ride on a trail, park or a bike path. And don't get me started on the stupidity of bike lanes on surface roads... Another idiotic idea pushed by 1 or 2% of the population through stupid city council and wasting traffic lanes
